New website for proven product

Hey all

Im currently working on a new and way more informative website for my invoicing software

All-Round Invoice - The invoicing choice of professionals!

Using this very basic website I have already generated some sales in 10 different countries leading me to believe that the market for this product is very large. If I just make a better website with a lot more information on the product, it will probably lead to even more sales.

My initial plan for the website is as as follows

1. Create a basic sitemap of the proposed site. DONE
Sitemap

2. Write some text for every page on the sitemap (most text will be keywords and basic information. 50% DONE

3. Have a copywriter turn my pages of text into something more reader friendly (I imagine I'll use a service like freelancer.com to find a copywriter.)

4. Create a website using wordpress. 50% DONE

5. Give visitors and customers the opportunity to sign up for my newsletter. Here I plan on having 10-20 newsletters ready and using an autoresponder send out a letter every 14 days or so.

6. At the moment I only have one version of the software, but I plan on making a free, standard, and PRO version with the latter two options priced at $20-$30 and the PRO version priced at $70-$80. Naturally if you purchase the STD version you will get a special offer on upgrading 3 months after purchase etc.

7. I also plan on creating an affiliate program where I offer 40%-50% commission on initial sales.

8. Being Wordpress I'll perhaps have a copywriter write some articles and start a small blog.

Would you say I'm on the right track here, or is there something I need to be doing differently, in order for me to realize a larger conversion rate?

Best regards
Henrik Poulsen

p.s. that silly slogan "Invoicing choice of professionals" have to go I know, just haven't found a suitable replacement yet

Anyone have any experience using freelancer.com or elance.com?

Having browsed the current projects at both sites I'm inclined towards Elane.com

Would you think it is possible to have 20-30 pages properly rewritten on a $300-$350 budget?

There are some good writers on 'Warriors for hire' section of this forum, You can try anyone of them.

You need to add professional logo or header to the website and some content giving more information about the software.

      Good Luck.

    Hey Jaideep

I'll try on the warriors for hire section when the time comes

As stated in the mail I'm currently working on a whole new website featuring a lot more information, as well as around 15 guides ranging from installing, to using the software.

The primary concern right now is getting the right person to help me write great copy that sells

    Im very excited right now

I just got in touch with a copywriter who seems great, (he even has a past as a programmer)

Been really busy writing 8-10 pages of specifications for the copy on our website. Just need to put some finishing touches on it and send it to the copywriter.

If all goes to plan I have a new website up and running beginning next month. than I plan on promoting my affiliate deal.

How do you price your affiliate deals? I think I'm going to make it somewhat progressive (more % the more you sell) to give the affiliate the incentive to sell more software. Naturally I'll make a WSO offering full % to all warriors without any minimum sales needed.
