Zero effort WSOs Phbbbttt!

What's the deal with these zero effort WSOs and Zero effort reviewers?

I have seen a number of these lately, "oh, it's three pages but no fluff". Do ya think? How much fluff is there going to be in three pages?

Then you get the WSO that promises the world but has no refund policy, like this one here http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...c-day-1-a.html . Yeah, I was totally sucked in . . . but the author was sucked in also. You see how dead the thread became after my review?

The interesting thing about that WSO is that with a little more effort, some more resources listed etc, in might have been a decent WSO.

I understand that there are serial refunders out there, but that's just a fact of life. I still believe that if you make your WSO as good and as valuable as possible, refunders, even serial refunders don't become that big of an issue.

Now of course that means you actually have to spend a little time on your WSO project, actually make sure it is worth something.

Like a lot of warriors, I use WSOs to test the waters for a product. I'll take a product, that might need a little more work, or not and release it as a WSO. If it starts to get traction I listen to my customers and add the features they are asking for. It's a win win, they get the upgrade for free and I get the information I needed from real customers to make it a better product.

I think so many of these "couple of pages" WSOs are just trying to make money here, on the forums. They have fallen for the "become rich selling WSOs" stuff.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I know some of you have made a lot of money with WSOs, heck even I've done well with them but the truth is that you better have a product that took some serious thought and effort if you plan on banking at all.

Now what about reviewers, holy crap don't get me started on this one.

Listen folks, if somebody gives you a review copy, do yourself a favor and the author a favor, give an HONEST and DETAILED review. Put a little friggen effort into it!! give me 400-500 words of truthful review, even 200 would be nice! If the author has ANY self respect at all and it's a bad review, he/she will take the information learned from the review and make it a better product.

Of course, the smartest thing from a WSO author stand point is to give it to somebody for review BEFORE launching your WSO. I look at before launch WSOs for a number of authors on a regular basis. They know I will give them the straight scoop.

If you give a lame ass review you do yourself a disservice and the WSO one also.

To wrap this big time rant up . . . how about some real thought and effort folks, on everybody's part. Don't half ass it, don't do just enough, don't do only what's required. Both live and act like you actually care and you will find that others actually care too. And if it's your WSO, have some faith and belief in what you have created and have a refund policy.

    We need a special section.

Bitch about any WSO if you bought it.

    That would help a lot

I know what your saying but,

If there is no refund policy and you are unsure whether to buy or not, DON'T BUY!

I look over many WSOs, and if there is a WSO I am 50/50 on whether it is going to benefit me or not, I don't buy it!
