Newbie to online marketing

Hello all

My name is Jamie and i'm from Australia. This is my first post here and thought it would be a good idea to say hello and ask what is the best way to get started in the warrior forum.

I really like a lot of the information here and could go on reading for days. I am a newbie to internet marketing and wondering if anyone could give me some useful information on creating splash pages.

I have download the IM buzz squeeze page, but get stuck on putting images on the page, my images are in jpg and they need to be in HTML?? I think

Can anyone recommend any good programs that will make a good splash page able to change jpg to Html.

I hope this is not a silly question any help at all would be truly appreciated.

    Hello and welcome!

I'm using photoshop to slice images and export to html, then dreamweaver or even plain notepad to tweak it

Hi & welcome (more Aussies - this is awesome!)

I think you're getting a little confused - a jpg is a picture file & html is the code that a webpage is written in.

here's 3 FREE programs for you to use - these are essential tools of the trade for internet marketing...

    1. WYSIWYG - (what you see is what you get). Download, extract to your computer & use it - its completely free. This is what you use to create and edit your web pages. Pages you create with this software is saved as html.

    Trellian WebPage - Software

    2. FTP Uploader - this is a FREE program that you download, extract to your computer & use to "upload" your webpages to the internet (the html page you created in Trellian Webpage)

    FileZilla - Client Download

    3. Photo editor - this is a free program I discovered the other day - it's great and also FREE. You can upload your photo, crop it, resize it, add text, change the borders, etc etc etc.

    Picnik

You are also going to need a few other things, you can ask about them as you have a need.

My advise would be to NOT buy any programs until you have done a bit of research for free. You can get soooo much info on here for free, just ask each time you get stuck - you'll get the best advice on here.

    Good luck

Ok - just relooked at your question - do you know you need to have your images already on the internet for them to show up on your page.

so - here's another FREE place for you - go to photobucket.com & open a FREE account. Then you upload your images to your photobucket account. You can then get an html code to put into your webpage.

I'm thinkin this is what you are asking????

I'm supposed to help - not make it f***n worse! Sorry, slipped into song there hahaha.

If I'm not making sense or you need something explained in a bit more detail PLEASE ask & we'll help you all we can.

    Profit Genie,

Welcome to the forum. First comment is that by asking around here in the forum, you will get the information that you need. Most everyone here offers great advice and insight on almost every aspect that you could utilize.

Secondly, I have some great eBooks and/or programs about html and some of the basics. If you're interested in getting them, I'll pass them your way if you PM me. They were helpful to me when I first got started so let me know if you are interested.

Good luck to you and getting involved with IM was a smart move for you. You'll realize as you go that this is one sure way to have something in place that can make money for you 365 a year. It is also very fun and challenging so congrats on moving forward.

    Sincerely,

    Craig Raphael
