Promoting a blog

Hello all,
I am trying to promoting my site and I have decided to do the following.
1. Link building through article marketing ( submitting to ezinearticles and goarticles)
2. Submitting to Social sites like digg and humsurfer.
3. Commenting on other people's blog
4. Exchanging links with people in my niche.
5. Providing quality content regularly.

Will this help this help my site get ranked searches fast ? Is there anything I need to add ? I will also like to know if it is good to post the same article post on my site on different article directories ? Is it possible for me to include opt-in code on the blog ( the url is easy weight loss plan)

Another thing I will like to know is how to squidoo and hubpage works.

I stumbled upon freetrafficsystem about 3 weeks ago and I must say the system is wonderful.

Got 200 backlinks to my site from freetrafficsystem but unfortunately must of the backlinks are from sites that are between PR1-3 which I believe isn't too good ( I may be wrong though).

Sure it works but do you think the page rank of the site linking to my site matters?

I have read in so many places that it is important to get links from sites that has high page rank and I have also read in some places that the page rank of the site linking to you doesn't matter.

obviously the higher the pr the more link juice, but for doing little or no work, the backlinks i am getting from them are bringing me plenty of visitors to a site I haven't even touched for the last 6 - 8weeks due to working on another project.

All I can say is it is definitely working for me

The technique you mentioned are the same techniques used by most bloggers and online marketers. It is also better if you make relevant comments and post on related blogs or forums.

it certainly will! You have outlined a good website promotion stragey. I woul also focus your efforts on do follow blogs. These are blogs that pass on the benefit of their page rank to you rather than blocking it trhough "No Follow" commands.

Yep. And don't forget to always be consistent in your link building campaign. That's what seo really is, not hard, just boring with the need to continually acquiring backlinks. Just be a little patient and you'll get the result you want.

Your plan of attact looks good, but the key will be consistancy, you need to set up a schedule of working the parts of your plan on a consistant basis. Doing them just once or twice will do very little good.

But what you are planning really no need any extra cost,
