Who here affiliates with Commission Junction?

Hey Guys,

I was just wondering if we have any warriors that have been affiliating with Commission Junction?

I've been having some great success with their products, by creating micro niche sites on a per product basis. Was wondering what people are doing with them in comparison to ClickBank/Ebook Products?

In any case, discussions on CJ??

I have a niche site with lots of physical products that mostly are from CJ programs. The site is built as an authority site and has been building traffic for the last monts. Sadly, not generating too many sales though.

It is built as a conduit site with non biased reviews (in other words, just plain information) of the products, and on the other side, articles, Youtube videos embedded, info... good stuff. But not converting almost anything.

How is it going for you with CJ?
I do think they have a great offer on the quality and diversity of programs to chose from.

    Hey Steve,

I do a fair amount of stuff with cj.com ... lots of mini sites
targeting physical products. I focus on products that sell well online, one
way to gauge what is selling is to look for bids on similar products at
ebay or user reviews at amazon.com ...

I figure if people are willing to write a review on a product they have
already purchased, then the product must be selling a fair amount online.

    Best,

Hey Steve, I've been using CJ for years (2002 or so). It's really hit or miss, I've found. And it can be confusing as to when they pay certain commissions. They "lock" them sometimes and you end up with less that month than you expected. But it all gets paid eventually. It's kind of like CB that way. All in all, they're a good source because they have so many merchants under one roof.

I agree with a lot of the comments on CJ.

Brian I'm using similar strategies with success. Currently targeting fragrance and gift niches due to mothers day with some good success.

Also having great success with the WaySpa offer CJ has using a handful of different geographical keyword domains and using the Google local search trick with it.

Sorry to butt in with nothing helpful to add but I'm looking for a WP store
plugin which can automatically pull in specified CJ products into a store
    format using pipes or similar.

If anybody knows of a good tool, give me a heads up please.

Must be a dozen Amazon versions but can't find a decent CJ one.

Yeah, CJ are pretty good at retail and doing mainstream products like hardware etc. I have heard reports of them stiffing affiliates out of comissions tho, so they don't have the bestest of reputation in the market.

But overall still a good option is you run hardware/retail micro-sites.

Any questions just let me know

Success on CJ has a LOT to do with the advertiser
    you're working with.

I've had some advertisers that I simply could no
longer trust and no longer promote - and others
    that are fantastic profit partners.

I've built quite a few niche sites around a few key
service products - some are comparison reviews,
others are straight up pitches for the service.

I also find CJ very helpful for sourcing "secondary"
affiliate offers for alternative monetization strategies
like complementary offers on thank you/confirmation
pages - banners for blogs, etc.
