Share Your IM Story and SUCCESS!

Hi my fellow Warriors. I thought it would be a great idea to have everyone post their stories. Share how you came across the Internet Marketing world and tell us about your success.

This is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, and give each other a bit of inspiration. I look forward to hearing stories, so I guess ill start with my own.


When I was 17 years old, I found myself using my computer for hours each day. I became fascinated with the internet and wanted to learn how to build websites. One day while browsing the internet I came across a "Make money from your computer" website. I read up on it everyday, and to make a long story short, I paid them $250 for 3 affiliate websites

I didnt have a clue on how to promote these websites at all and I wasted my money. So after this incident I went on to learn about how to advertise on the internet. Once I started reading articles and websites everything started to come to me one by one.

Here I am 5 years later and I can honestly say Im done with all my researching...:rolleyes: (Yeah it took me a while, dont laugh)

I've been working on promoting some affiliate products as well as creating a wonderful adsense website. This is the best thing that's ever happened to me and I thank God for it. Im hoping that one day I can teach my daughter everything I know. Im glad that I found this forum because its like a second home to me!

Okay well I guess that's the most part for my story. If you guys wanna know anything else feel free to reply back to me.

    This is not a super great history of success but I am getting some bucks from freelance jobs. Newbies can begin using DigitalPoint and Rentacoder to get some bucks while learning here in the Warrior Forum.

      I've told my story on here before, but I'll go ahead and add it again one more time since it's relevant to the topic.

      I started studying internet marketing way back in 1999 when NetZero *really* meant "surfing the internet for free". It was more of an interest than a hobby, and I didn't earn my first commission (for $1.60!) until 2003.

      At that point, I became more serious, and within 18 months, I was doing this full-time. I'm still at it four years later, with over half a million dollars in sales under my belt.

      I've made money in a variety of different ways, I've had a number of $350+ Adsense days, I've had a $1,200+ day on Clickbank selling one product. I ran a PLR membership site that had 340 members at its peak.

      And the company I made my very first $1.60 from? I still generate sales of their products today, nearly $50K in commissions later.

      I posted yesterday that I was looking for another experienced IM'er to give me a hand, as I've really been stuck lately for something else to do in IM. As a result of that process, I ended up asking myself a question I can't believe I've never asked before....

      "What is the most enjoyable thing you could do in IM - even if you had to do it for free?"

      The answer I came up with is now in my Sig file. It's going to be fun.
