Got an Idea but where to get...

Ok I have come with an idea. You know those funny image sites like "you fail" that have captions and stuff...

Would it be a wise idea to try and start one> Mine would have a different theme though...could it be a good money earner if the traffic is there?

Also where would I get these images to use?

    Ernie - I think it is possible, yes. Only because, just when I think someone could not possibly come up with another one and make it really popular - they do! And I can get lost for hours on each of them. There is the antiduckface one the seen at WalMart one, etc, etc....

    You just need a unique - and super funny - idea. And a lot of these (if not most) of these sites - have user generated content/photos. They get people to send in funny crap they've seen.

    There might even be a church signs one.

    If you can come up with another winner - good on ya, man!!

      Ah interesting thanks.

      You're right though I would need to make it user generated content to really take off.

      Using images might be too hard for what I plan to do.

      Do you think it can succeed with just being text based? I guess that FML (f### my life site proves it can work)

        I did have a friend start one that was just text, not sure if she still has it up or not. It was something like - writing a letter to someone you're dying to say something to but you just can't. Or something like that.

    Make sure you have a strong disclaimer in place that the images do not belong to you and if anyone thinks there's a copyright violation that they should contact you ASAP and you will take down the alleged pics immediately
