Just received 5 Chargebacks from the same person...

Ok, what the hell...

I just received 5 chargebacks from the same person through Clickbank. It looks like the orders came through on the same day within hours of each other.

The only innocent reason I can think of for this is that they were legitimately trying to purchase and perhaps they thought the sale did not go through.

Considering Clickbank will not fight chargebacks it would be nice if they prevented the same product number being sold to the same customer more than 1 time per 24 hours or something.

Not in a good mind state right now.

      Probably prefers that they don't purchase anything from him in the future, so this won't happen again from the same person. If they purchased the same thing 5 times, I wouldn't count on them doing it the correct way next time either.

        Actually, chargebacks are VERY serious.

        I had ONE chargeback against my one account out of THOUSANDS of sales
        and they jacked up my withholding to 20%

        If you get enough chargebacks, they CAN close your account.

        And yes, I got this DIRECTLY from Clickbank.

        So this is serious and I would call up Clickbank and explain the situation to
        them and ask that they not penalize you for this as they may do just that.

    I know...I would give the same advice. This is such an extreme case though, I've never seen anything like it.

    They may continue to buy from you in the future.

    They may continue to buy from you in the future. Ya, they might buy 5 or 6 times.
    and if they buy 5-6 more times.. drink coffee extra 5-6 more times ;-P

    No kidding. I once tried to buy 3 different products on the same day, and they rejected the third sale although all were under $50. Yet potential customers write and say their card was denied. Would be nice if CB could straighten that out.
