Online Marketing to Latinos
But....
Having years of experience with the latino culture (my wife is Peruvian) and after discussing my doubts with her (and her agreeing with me) I have decided not to pursue the idea.
My observations with selling to latinos online are:
1. Most are tighter with their money than in most other non-latino countries. There are a few exceptions though.
2. A lot of latinos are more suspicious and distrusting about using their credit card to pay for things online.
3. eBooks and info products are not something that most of them would be interested in buying. I have spoken to my wife and other latinos that have said they would rather pay $40 for an exterminator to rid the house of cockroaches than pay $20 for an eBook on "Secrets To Kill Cockroaches Without Using Pesticides" simply because they do not want to be bothered with reading the ebook or would think it was a bunch of B.S.
4. Most would much rather buy a product, like a wrinkle cream, than an eBook on how to get younger looking skin. And they would rather visit a store and buy that product than buy it online and wait for delivery.
If anyone has a different experience with selling to latinos I would like to hear it. These are just my thoughts and observations (most of which are confirmed by latino friends) and there might be some niches where more sales could be made than others.
And I hope this does not offend anyone, because that is not my intention here. My wife is a latina and would put me out on the porch to sleep !
I am just making observations on what latino buying habits are and wondering if anybody has had a different experience or success with selling to latinos online.
