of course I'm asking in the context of how you promote your blog content...

Let me start with a few...

1. send to my blog announcement mailing list
2. submit to blogcarnival
3. make it into PDF and submit to doc sharing sites
4. submit to rss aggregator sites

anything else?
#blog #make #post

Keep up your blog even if you don't get much traffic for at least a few weeks. Don't get discouraged too quickly. I've done it in the past (stopped posting after a few days). Then a few months later I found out my dead blog kept getting pretty good number of hits every day. What a waste!

      I've already got mine automated.

At 6:00 AM, three times a week, my blog automatically...
      • publishes my scheduled post.
      • notifies RSS readers.
      • notifies email subscribers (Aweber).
      • notifies Twitter followers.
      • notifies Facebook fans.
      All without me doing anything!

While i still have it as a draft, i think if it is good enough to be published as a guest post on another blog. If so, i go ahead and email it to a respectable blog in my niche, that i also like.

Seriously? I hit ping in my toolbar and go outside and stretch and take a break.

When I come back in, if it's a submittable article and not just a random thoughts blog, I hit a couple submission sites with it and do some linking and bookmarking. If it's just a random thoughts blog, I skip the submissions.

I take the 'digitalpoint' route and just do small unconventional backlinks through relevant sites..I'm an avid yahoo answer backlink person as long as they're relevant these get indexed fast.

Love twitter, hate facebooks non indexed backlinks

I submit the RSS feed of the post to the directories, Tweet it, Facebook it, ping it, Onlywire it, link to it from an article that's submitted to a directory, do some blog commenting. Oh also add it to a blog carnival.

I think that's the full list - I do most of this automatically by Wordpress plugins. Just such the WP directory - there are hundreds of plugins that can help you out for free

Like many people here I put a link into Facebook and Twitter. I ping it with Pingler, I also send an email to my list with the link and also turn it into an article that I submit to the top 7 article directories.

Submit it to article directories, bookmark it, tweet it, post it as your status in other social media sites. Ping it (pingoat and pingomatic).

The techniques you have mentioned are very useful for promoting blog or blog content. There are some other tricks also that could be applied.

      1. You can rewrite the original content of your blog and submit them in several article directories and create backlink to your blog.

      2. If you have vast amount of content in your blog you can arrange them and make an eBook. You have to mention about your blog in this eBook. You can send the eBook freely to enormous amount of users by list building method.

      3. You can write in other related forums or blogs and create backlink to your blog site.

      4. Try to add some other relevant blog sites as your followers.

      5. Bookmark your blog in several social networking sites.
