There is no such thing as a guaranteed profit.

If that's what you're looking for, you're in the wrong business.

Having said that, if you have a skill, such as copywriting, programming or
article writing, you can go to Elance and make a profit with no cost at all
depending on how good you are at it.

People are always looking for skilled professionals to either write salescopy,
design websites or write articles, among many other things.

  Buy $500 (if that much) worth of the tools needed for one of today's red hot, but menial chores that many of us are willing to pay for, but can't find anyone to do it. Housecleaning, for example. Window cleaning would work, too.

In June, my brother gave me a $100 Wal-Mart gift card for my birthday.

Since I was visiting him at the time in the center of the Wal-Mart universe, and since all of the stores were doing major layout changes, there were a LOT of clearance items. I was easily able to find $100 worth of items which I have since either sold for a profit on eBay (100%-800% per item, roughly) or exchanged for other clearance goods on later WM trips.

Doing nothing more than this one thing (with work in setting up auctions and mailing the items), you could easily turn your $500 into $2K+. There are hundreds of other ideas that could also be used to give you decent or even significant profit if you just keep your eyes open, but they would take time and/or work.

I'm guessing, however, that you're looking for an instant profit (minus the time and effort).

I would offer the $500 as a prize for the affiliate who sells the most of my products in a specific time frame. There would have to be a rule for minimum amount of sales to qualify.

If you ran something like this successfully, I'm sure you're almost guaranteed to make over $500.

This isn't my original idea. I've been an affiliate for companies that give cash, laptops, gift cards, etc as incentive to sell the most of their product/service in a specified amount of time. It can be fun, and a great way to get out of a rut and compete against other affiliates.

Spend a day or two writing an ebook/guide/manual etc...

Interview an expert and sell the interview...

Create a video series teaching something...

Get someone else to make a product and split the profit...

Dig around your hard drive for PLR products to modify and sell...

There are plenty of ways to make a good product in a short amount of time.

It takes effort, but doesn't everything?

I don't know about guaranteed, but here is something I know works. First, it's a major plus if done this before or you may run into some bumps along the way.

Do abit of market research and come up with a simple but useful software idea. (doesn't have to be software, could also be a collection of templates, wordpress theme, plugins,ect)

An important factor to consider when doing market research is to make sure the idea you come up with has lots of distribution channles, meaning potential JV's or affiliates. on the surface this may seem difficult, but it's not.

For example, say you create a product that allows people to speed up mp3 files while mantaining pitch. This kind of product may appeal to alot of people and you could sell it in many markets. Lots of affiliates, jvs,ect.

Go and hire someone at rentacoder to create the software (or other product) - If the software is pretty simple, yet useful you can have something created for $100-200

Make sure to get a trial or crippled version of the software made by the same coder. A cippled version should not cost you much more at all since the coder will just do a feature lock or force the program to stop working after a certain amount of uses.

Create a website and sales letter for the product. Do this your self or pay for it. Just make sure its not crappy looking. Make sure you get a nice ecover, header,ect.

Mass distribute pad files for the trial version of the software you created. This will have your software listed on THOUSANDS of websites. There's a good chance people will start downloading your demo version. Also do'nt forget to list your software on download.com

Pick a channel to generate traffic and sales. It's best to have this planned in advance. Easy solutions are runnning a WSO if it appeals to that market or selling copies at digital point. You also could use adwords to push traffic, but with a limited budget this might not be your best bet although the content network or site targeting might work if your know what your doing. Otherwise look towards free traffic methods and JV's.

Your goal is to sell an intial amount of the product to recoup your intial investment of $500 as quickly as possible.

If you built any type of email list or created an autoresponder sequence even better. If you have promotional articles floating around more kudos. If it's listed at clickbank or regnow thats another plus. If you can come up with more ways to add value, even better. (a few youtube videos,ect)

Next, list and sell the web site and full product rights at a place like sitepoint. The site is a proven earner since you have generated revenue. You also have tons of value added to the site by all the little things you did promotion wise. (getting the site listed on download.com and other sites ect.)

The promotions I listed could be outsourced or automated. Your not really doing a ton of promotion since your goal is to do just enough to add value to your site flip. If you can generate additonal revenue by adwords rthe grass will be even greener when you sell the site if you pass that information along to the buyer.

..Steven is right about the guarantee..heck, I think is against the law if
it hasn't change..

However..

Such a guarantee works when it is implanted in the mind with our mind
first..

Here is what I'm saying, with a plan..you just gotta plan period..well
how else is the mind going to know what the heck we want?

The more we make it clear the better for the mind to grant us our
wishes..I mean, put taste, smell, in short everything the body have
to make life a pleasureable life..if it calls for it of course..That is why
it is a lot easier when we want things we need instead of riches..

The riches are automatic..life knows that..

If you can come up with a plan that makes youself a guarantee that it
will work by adding the above..it will also make other people to guarantee
that it also work for them..The mind rules you know..

Ordinarly it is not wise to sell anything first so a splash page to make
them click to your plan that will cost them make it cheap to be sure
they won't mind to check it out..

Make sure that you don't give away the whole plan just enough to make
them think and say you will guide them the rest of the way..(expectations).

I personally would turn it into multiple streams of incomes but, by focusing
on one program only..

You heard it before..don't put all your eggs in one baskett except it can
sure be misleading..

..meaning that we start or join different programs..WRONG!..Can you imagine
trying to succeed with more than one program?..As if our mind is not scramble
enough already..

Here is what I'm talking about and what I did when I became disable using only
one hand..Of course, it was mostly cut and paste for me..

One monthly Newsletter, then add weekly newsletter, and then added 20 more
newsletters with different or multiple income from each one plus a memebership
club offline though..where the real big bucks are waiting..Do you think it stops
there?..hah better think again..

Personally to me to get started real cheap..are safelist, ffa pages, and most
importantly traffic exchange..there is some dam good income there that can
lead to some big bucks..New people are always joining hence, it never runs
out of the opportunity for more cash..

Now, you gotta plan a way for those people to get people to follow them
to make them rich starting with you first of course..They going to think
that they will follow them in their business, maybe they will..the following
continues all the ways you can think off..

Not counting on autoresponders that also pays for referals like Traffic Wave,
Awber..I'm using both that suits what I'm doing and planning on doing..Not
all responders are the same..in my book..

doing is the only way if it's practical..There are also the miracle way

long honey..I guarantee it!

i would spend the $500 on services like article writing and bookmarking submissions.

The problem is, i just am too lazy to do all this myself.

I would make a few more sites, add my existing ones...and spend the $500 on massive link-building, bookmarking and "blog commenting" services. --> Instant Traffic ---> Profit!

If have some money over, i would spend the rest on buying banner space for my products.

Guranteed profit???

buy bonds or treasury notes.. or deposit it in savings account. Those are the only things remotely close to a guaranteed profit.

If what you seem to be looking for existed, and was easily picked up by simply asking, then there would be a LOT more successfull people on this forum.

The truth is, there is no guarantee.. Your $500 WILL BE AT RISK. If you can't afford to lose it, then save it.
