Anybody Currently Using The Membernaire Model?

I know Membernaire was the "flavor-of-the-week" a few years ago. Is anybody still using that model? (Or know of a site that is successfully using that membership model?)

Thanks,
Adam.

I just started the lessons and I am torn between the a/r (Membernaire) model and using the Blog/Wishlist model.

I like the idea behind Membernaire, because it's mostly just an autoresponder and a salesletter, from what I can remember.

I canceled after the 2nd or 3rd week, because the slow pace of delivery really kinda bothered me.

I'm just curious to see some successful examples of other sites using that model.

Yes, I agree: From the marketers perspective, it's just about ideal.

But I don't know if it's so well liked from the buyer's perspective, otherwise I think we'd probably see a slew of these types of sites-- considering they're so much easier to put together than a traditional CMS-style site.

On the other hand, I mostly just look at top competitors in my main niche, and there are hundreds (thousands?) of niches I'm unaware of... hence throwing it out to the forum here.

What I've found though, with a lot of info. markets, is that they want a solution to their problem... now! They don't want to wait and be strung along for weeks or months.

And the strength of most membership sites really seems to be access to the community (forum) that the site provides.

[Just thinking out loud. Feel free to chime in.]

So, then it's an issue of: Not only picking the right niche that has the willingness and ability to pay, burning passion, yada yada... but also picking the right niche, that's also conducive to the info. being dolled out slowly, week after week.

I went through the entire course. I agree with you, Adam. The pace was way too slow. Otherwise, I had no regrets --- except if he had put a video tutorial on the site to accompany each lesson, it would have had greater value for me.

I am still trying to decide which model to use. I have several membership scripts and membernaire; information overload, I guess.

I wonder if the problem is necessarily the type of delivery or the length of time/amount of info in the lessons, that were given each week? I think for some topics, where there is a LOT of ground to cover, then it would be ideal - an antidote to information overload as it were. But for other things, perhaps it could be compressed. Or, an offer to dwnload it all at once (maybe at a discount).
