Can money be made without spending money

You make money either by using 1) time or 2) money you already have and are willing to invest

To make money using time, you can write articles and submit them to popular article directories. Please don't expect to get results with 1 or 2 articles... You might be able to see some sales with 100 articles... like I said, you need to spend plenty of time on this.

I used to rely on free methods to make money until I realize that it's taking too much of my time and isn't the ultimate objective of IM time freedom?

So I invested in google adwords and did a lot of testing... Think about it... when you go start up a conventional business, how much do you incur? $20,000? $30,000? Just to start up and pay rent...

IM is so much cheaper... if you just take 10% of that or less to do research and testing on adwords, I guarantee you'll see results... if you get sales but are making losses, then change some things around and test again... if you breakeven even better, change CPC, frequency, landing page, headlines etc and test again...

Once you found a winning product, you can scale up... and let your money work for you...

answer is a clear yes, when i started i didn't have one penny to my name, i couldn't even afford a domain!

The beauty of it is that the huge majority of things doesn't cost anything, with the exception of a few bucks for hosting/domain..but even there are alternatives.

You can start article marketing, making hub pages or other web2.0 properties, writing an ebook and so forth and it doesn't cost a thing.

The problem is NOT MONEY (dont forget you want to earn money not spend it!) but rather things like how to get traffic, keyword research and so forth. Nothing of that has anything to do with spending money.

yes, and double-yes. Ask any super affiliate. You could make this every day and then more. Its not easy, it takes dedication and skills. Just read around here on the forum, look at what other people do.

As a first step, you need to get away from the thinking that you need a certain amount of money. Dont get hung up on the thought you need $XYZ to make $XYZ - it would just hinder you from doing things and you would focus on the wrong priorities.

yes the best free way to do it would be google seo, if you have a website and manage to build good seo and good backlinks to "long phase key words" you can get free search engine traffic within 1-3 months, but most people reinvest the money the make to grow and build more sites and buy backlink services ect. good luck

Combine the two and do it consistently for 8-10months = $400/month or more easy

The TRICK is you do it, and you do it REALLY GOOD and CONSISTENTLY. You have to have a GIVE in mind rather than TAKE when doing it What I mean is give quality info, a REAl quality info, not copied, not spinned, not shortcut. An article that has blood and sweat put into it by way of real research and high profile references (not ideas copied from other blogs/website that for all you know also copied from other blogs/website).

However if you are looking for a get rich quick with little or no work, then you will get scammed everytime. Might work shorterm, but never long term.

My advice would be to take the campaigns that you were breaking even or making a small profits with ppc and try to rank those pages organically in the natural search engines.

Yes you can. I started with a free Geocities page (how bad was that eh) and built up from there, taking what small profit I made and putting it back into my *cough* business.

Eventually it paid off and started to grow.

So yep, you can do it without spending any money.. but! You will make more money, and make it a lot faster, if you spend a little along the way.

Yes but it takes time to build up your organic ranking and reputation for your site as an expert in your niche. Its about picking the right product as well.

Well, absolutely yes! By just learning from free stuffs and effective tips online, you can create your own product, utilize it and then provide value in it. There, you could start building your lists by giving away great freebies and then once you've gathered an enough start, proceed pushing your way to have a "paid" service.

Remember, the moment you charge, that's the main indication that you're getting more and more valuable so even if you charge more, people will be willing to pay for it because they know they know you're worth the price.

The fact that you have made ANY money from Adwords shows that you are
on the right track. You have already determined some winners so you need
only now rinse and repeat. Do some more testing and don't give up too
soon.

Thinking about this, a great IM product would be an "Adwords stock adviser."
The same way that you can buy subscription to stock advice--what
stocks to invest in--this time you get what products to advertise.

So you run a ton of test and give the members the winners--but
maybe there would be too much competition.

You're giving me the impression that you have bought a lot of those money making ebooks...and had chosen PPC to be your choice of traffic source..

But from what you're now looking for ..
Just dump PPC and choose a free traffic driving method instead from those stuff in your hard drive..

STICK to it... test and tweak till you make enough to venture into other avenue..

BTW, the answer is a "yes" but just must expect to work a lot harder than if you have the cash to spend on..

If you want to go with free ways to make money then consider doing sites for organic search. It takes longer but it will help you without spending money on ppc. The biggest problem is traffic so consider learning a lot about back links before you start and seo.

I have no issue with paying for the PPC as long as the costs dont out way the rewards. I am prepared to spend a budget of £100 per month initially to get some results. So i suppose the key is to finding the correct product (via Amazon i suppose) and use the correct keywords.......yes?
So how do i find which products are selling...........trial and error i hear you all scream but this could take forever, there must be an easier more logical way

is possible.

Have you considered Clickbank for
products, instead of Amazon? It's a
different ballgame, but you'll likely
see higher commissions and conversions.

Step 3: Link to your content like mad. Spend a month or two dropping thousands of links... and linking to the links.
Step 4: Repeat steps 1-3

After a year or two, you'll be making great money.

If you want the 'secret'.......its this:

Internet Marketing is a business. period. full stop.

If you begin trying IM thinking that its anything else, you're in for a rough ride.

The same things that make any business work are what makes IM work:

1) is there a market? what are they buying?
2) what is my competitive advantage? barriers to entry? USP?
3) what is the price point? break-even analysis? Will this offer make me money?
4) What does my Profit and Loss sheet look like? is it a net gain or a net loss?

Can you make money without selling an e-book? absolutely.
Can you make money without giving value to a profitable market? nope. not for long anyways.

The real secrets are the basics.

P.S. It took me almost a year and a half to figure that out. Hopefully this post can save you some time and money.

I would think that the key to any successful PPC campaign is having done the research of your market before even looking for the product to sell. If you establish that there are hungry buyers then find a product whether on Amazon, Clickbank, Commission Junction etc.

Assuming you've done the research, If your CPC is overtaking your ROI that could mean 3 things:

1. You are in an extremely competitive niche with fellow bidders bidding high on the CPC.

2. Your product is not converting for reasons such as poor landing page, product or lack of buyers.

3. You are getting slapped by Google for a high CPC for lack of relevancy between your ad structure, landing page and what Google thinks the prospects are actually looking for.

A free method could be to stick up a free blog review site and give your prospects knowledgeable product info for them to make a choice on. We all like to have choices.

Not knowing what your niche is makes it difficult to advise 100%.

Yes, but it is very hard and generally takes longer. I know if I had some capital at start up, I would have hit the ground running much faster. But then again, I may have blew it on useless training as well.....

How do you provide value? You find a need and provide a solution.

i think to do anything in IM you need a little investment ($10 could be enough for some hosting and domain), thats if you want to do it properly.
there are thousands of things you can do for free, i mean checkout the WSO's there are some great free methods.
But a little investment can go a long way if done right.
If you have money to spend and want a quick return that can also be done too, PPC is a great way to make fast cash IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING, do your research and hit those long tail keywords and save yourself a fortune.

I can and I will. Affiliate sales + adsense + SEO It might not be the supper sexy WF WSO way but it works, you will make money and it's only going to cost you the price of a domain and hosting. You could pull this off for less than $20 a year if you're really strapped for cash. Buy a domain + hosting Install wordpress Figure out what you are going to sell. Affiliate programs are a dime a dozen from weight loss to dating to porn. Learn the basics of on and off page SEO Pack your site with some content. Get as many backlinks to your site as humanly possible + 3 more just in case. Write articles or spam the universe with profile backlinks. Following this method will get your site ranking in search engines, bring organic traffic looking exactly for what your site is about and if you're pushing a product they like they will buy it. Like I said, it's not the super sexy list building make 30k in 30 days method but it does work, it's practically free and anybody can do it if they are willing to put in the time.
