Creating and Launching my e-book

Hi everyone,

I'm just about finished my personal e-book for blogging but have a few questions.

I would like my members to subscribe to my rss feed before I release it to them. How do I do this and what software?

Also any suggestions on things I should do before I go and release it to the public?

So far I have proof read it and will again this afternoon.

Regarding the marketing any suggestions?

I'm subscribed

thanks so much

Brian

Congrats Brian - is this a "for sale' ebook or something you will be givnig away? It sounded like a giveaway to entice people to subscribe to your blog?

Here are a few suggestions for steps you can take prior to launch:

    1. Get some early adopters who are willing to give you testimonials, case studies and good reviews as well as help you with promotion. That will increase the proof and credibility of your ebook before it has launched.

    2. Create a webpage with the benefits and a solid headline...the place that will convince visitors to download your ebook. If you haven't decided on a headline, then test a few, I like to use Google Adwords to test headlines before a launch

    3. Affiliate program - so you can have partners promote your ebook (depends on it being an ebook you are selling versus giving away)

    4. I would have created a few articles and press releases that are submitted and socially bookmarked as well as perhaps a video or two that will all be used to promote your ebook, create some backlinks to your ebook website or landing page and get some early traffic rolling.

    5. Consider an early 'buyer' or 'downloader' bonus - if they take action in the first 48-hours they get something extra (bonus report, video series, teleconference, etc...) This will help the urgency factor once your product is launched.

    Hope that helps,

    Jeff

Hi Jeff thanks so much for this great information wow!

I plan on releasing a free version of the book. But I would like the people downloading to at least sign up to my rss feed.

I own blogengage.com so I have a lot of marketing power for this release. I have about 1700 bloggers on our mailing list.

Do you have any suggestions regarding software that makes members subscribe and then e-mails the download link.

p.s. I loved your marketing suggestions I will do a you tube video and start working on my landing page.
