What Makes A Good Review?

Hey Guy's and Girl's!

Just working on my 'newish' website and decided it's time to get it kick started and am working on creating a template for each of my review's of product's and software etc etc that i follow (kinda a blueprint)!

However im kinda stuck as to what to split a review into?

Product Features
Price (subscription etc etc)
Comparisons? or is that distracting?

Any other idea's or tips/tricks you can give me or even samples of great reviews you have seen on product's would be amazing as really want to get this blueprint perfected before i go and write like mad and then have to go back and edit them all later on

Thanks

For reviews, personally I don't pay attention to it if it's too promotional. It's best you test the product yourself, because you really need to think what you LIKE about it, and what you DON'T like, and what can be improved.

Try to be as objective as possible, that's your best bet.

Oh, and with the traffic you drive to your review sites... be sure to be capturing their emails so you can retain your traffic and get repeat visitors! There's nothing that converts worse than "hit and run" traffic (those who come once and never come back).

    Repeat visitors are gold!

      Thanks for your input

The test and dump/keep method work's if the product is in the cheaper range and has a trial or a free trial etc but for alot of them it really doesn't!

Going to capture every single person's email address i can and also keep the email's of every buyer too and keep them seperate

    Hi,

I think you need to write an informative product review.. (its description and advantages), it latter part maybe you can talk about its price. Just try to make your review a bit complete..

    Hi Mark,

Just remember that a good review would have good amount and potential readers the moment it strikes the "main" idea first and foremost at the beginning paragraphs.

Make sure you're stating what product are you reviewing before introducing anything else. Thus, go ahead with explaining the product and product features at the first parts. Additionally, state your reason Why are you reviewing this product:

-Was it the first time you ever saw a front loading dishwasher or
-A refrigerator with an ice maker for example?

Remember to give the site or pamphlet the credit. For example, don't take credit for listing the ingredients in a nutrition bar when you have copied and pasted them from the website.

The last part would be your good and bad experiences where you could tell how this product works and how you use it. This is the reason why sometimes you see people giving their negative feedback around a product too - it's because people have known so much about the good things and probably stating the negative ones could attract more interest.

    I hope this helps!
