google has changed its interface

Hi,
Guys search for anything in google and see the new layout.

I think its going to lower CTR for seo as now there are 3 main columns instead of two.

    This SUCKS. It will definitely dilute search CTR's no question. Does anyone know how we can optimize for these different options, such as "shopping" ?

    The stuff in the sidebar has been available for quite some time, you just had to click a button to expand it. Time will tell if it affects click-through rates, but I'm guessing not much will change. I think people will still look first to the search results, not the extra stuff in the sidebar.

    If it does change - adapt! The internet is a fluid and dynamic medium. Sitting still is probably not the option.

    I'm not immediately sure why you see this as bad? It seems to me you could have MORE chances to be on at least one of the category's 'Page One', if you rank in any number of different resources.

    Example:: You could have a high ranking blog and be on page one for blog results, or a high ranking video and be on page one for video results, or high ranking content and hit page one as well.

    Weirdness. My google changed like months ago to include a list on the left hand side and it was a way to filter searches... Images, Web, Videos, Shopping, etc.

    But now the new layout is gone and google is back to results on the left, adwords on the right.
