I don't understand cpanel

Being a senior with a really poor memory, I can't remember my c panel videos for more than a few hours. It's mind boggling. I have the same problem with everything else I learn. Sigh, I have thousands of notes and still am failing.

    Karen,

One thing that has worked well for me my whole life is to take my notes, and then reread them every single day.

Also, I rewrite my notes over and over again. First I make a list, then I make it again, but I use columns and rows, draw lines to related notes, and then

I take a thumbtack and stick my notes on the wall right next to my desk, so I can glance up to see what I need at any time.

I use cpanel too for my site. I keep a pen and paper folder with important stuff, as well as text files with notes and anything vital for me to remember.

    Karenann,

You might want to outsource the tech jobs to someone else... Focus on doing what you *love* and also what your truly good at... No one wants to make themselves stressed and frustrated every day...

Work ON your business, not IN your business....

Yes it may seem like the first few years you have to lick some stamps, but Cpanel and web dev type jobs are not something you'll have to do all the time, so maybe getting a nerd to help you might be a good idea.

I agree... Also it's also not that complicated. Just play with it and you will learn by yourself sooner and if you are are uncertain of some function just google for help.

^^ What Jon said: after setting up a site I don't have to go into cPanel for months. Why would you need it all the time?

hi karen, watching videos and writing notes is really helpful but if you want the info to stick the best thing you can do is just practice everything you see in the video. If its a particular thing you don't remember just learn it again and keep practicing it. Thats the best way to learn and remember what you learn

Yes, but she'll need the notes in order to practice. And also, one of the best ways to learn something is to teach it. So find someone to buddy up with.
