What else for a blog?

I'm starting a new blog and I'm excited with my new project. I felt like a newbie again with a blog.

OK, I got a domain name, hosting, Wordpress, theme all up and running.

I have one whole lot of content that can last me for 6 months, all unique from me.

What else do I need to do?

The main thing that I want to do is to promote the blog. So what I intend to do is:
1) Make new blog post every 3-4 days
2) Ping the post to 50+ RPC ping list
3) Submit videos to video sites
4) Bookmarking

What else? I saw Feedburner and I thought it's interesting. Is that useful?

What do you recommend me to do for promoting a blog?

    If you're going to become a serious blogger, I suggest you to post 1 blog post per day. Look at sites like JohnChow.com or ProBlogger.com and try and model after them. I don't tend to find pinging my posts to those ping list work well for me... I think it really comes down to content. Feedburner is super super useful... great to keep count and manage your RSS feed subscribers.
