| Yes, there's a lot of it, too. The prices vary enormously! If you look at this site, Almisco , you can see a comparative review of 11 different products at prices from $27 to about $400. They provide quite a detailed analysis of all the products, according to about 40 different parameters, on a big chart, and it looks pretty interesting. You have to give your email address to get access to the review. I think it's like so many "review sites", they have their own affiliate links to every reviewed product and of course that's how they make their money. But if you don't mind that, there's probably quite a lot to learn there. Of course, there may also be many other good products not reviewed there at all. It seems, from their reviews, that:- 1. Most of them produce "exe" files, rather than PDF. 2. The only common ones which produce ebooks readable on a Mac are Adobe 9.0 (and maybe Adobe 8.0) which costs $299, and a cheapie called "writercash" which is only $27 but has many features missing which are present in the more expensive products. Have a look round, though: there will doubtless be other review sites like that with more products listed, too. |

If you have MS Word, you can print to PDF. You can also use OpenOffice or go to Adobe, create an account and they'll let you print any document to PDF (as a free trial). There are lots of free PDF programs available but nothing compares to Adobe Acrobat in terms of features. |

hi, ok thank you for the replies, but is it really ths easy then write in ms word & then put it into pdf format, how do we do the squeeze page (landing page) where we basically "hype" the ebook ? IMPORTANTLy how do we automate it so that we can take payments from it? like if you go to the rich jerk or any dating ebook or health ebook at the bottom of the page they have a payment facility, how do we add this? and make it so that the pdf is then available to the customer to download after they have paid ? so then the ebook is automated? |

You're confusing the website with the ebook. Register a domain name (www.mynewsite.com) and find yourself a web host. I use betterwebspace but loads here use hostgater. If you aren't confident with web design software find a host that supports wordpress installation. Set up wordpress and find a template you like. I don't use squeeze pages (yes - I know I should) so someone else will have to advise on how to set those up. Download some ftp software - filezilla, coffeecup and ftp your ebook to your site. Sign up for paypal and you can sell via paypal. When you set up your paypal button it will ask you for the address of the product you are selling - enter www.mynewsite.com/myebook.pdf Or you can get yourself a clickbank account and sell through that. Full instructions are on the CB website. Design your website with a link to your chosen sales method (CB, Paypal etc). Promoting your site? Loads of excellent posts on here about articles, social bookmarks, squidoo, hubpages, links, etc etc etc hth |

hi, yes you are right im confusing an actual ebook with a website!! yes i want a website that has an ebook with a squeeze page so customers come & read the info ont he squeeze page & then scroll down & then buy the ebook & then after payment have a link to download the ebook. i understand what your saying in your post, so i need a domain, hosting site that supports wordpress and but if i write my ebook in ms word how do i upload to that template site? i dont understand this please? & when i generally write the ebook how many pages makes a good ebook? & when you look for a niche to write an ebook, how do you decide what makes a good nice? like health is so competitive whereas money is saturated? or alternatively is it best to write something i would know about like stop smoking? or conquering weight loss? or how to find a good date? |

You simply download OpenOffice, write up your ebook and convert it into a PDF by clicking on the PDF button at the top.

You make it automated by entering the download URL in paypal. This will send your customers to that page to download after they pay. Of course this isn't very secure. If you want a more automated secure way then e-junkie or download guard are what you need. As for designing a squeeze page then it's like a webpage. You can write it in various code. It's not my strength so I outsource hings like that. There's plenty of good web designers on here and other outsourcing websites (elance, rentacoder or getafreelancer.com) Rich |

DLGuard - Download page protector, create expiring download links No, I'm not an affiliate. However let me venture to say that you are getting way ahead of yourself. First you need to figure out what subject you want to write about, and how you are going to find buyers for your ebook. If this were easy to do, everyone would be doing it. I'm not saying that you can't do it; I'm saying that it takes a little time and research to figure out how. There's a product on the Warrior Forum, Desperate Buyers Only, which goes through that process step by step. It tells you how to pick a niche, how to identify hungry markets, etc., how to write a sales letter that highlights your strengths and the competitions' weaknesses... You might want to buy and read that. | |
