Suggestions urgently needed!

Hello everyone! let me introduce myself. I am a architectural designer and I am working with a design consultant firm here in Singapore. I am very new to internet marketing or making money online. I am asking everyone here who are in the business and have a great deal of experience to please advice me on where I could find real and legitimate internet/online jobs. I am also interested with affiliate marketing, so please do give me some recommendations on which program to buy, one that is proven and does not require you to put money on adwords or PPC. I am not looking for a get rich overnight program for I know there are none. All I am asking is to be able to generate some extra income. SD1000 a month is enough for me. I have read that some are making like USD1000 per day! wow! If I get to earn at least USD1000 per month I would already be very very happy.

Thanks and regards to everyone

Welcome to the world of Internet marketing!

First, there are no quick and easy ways to make money with affiliate marketing. The sites that promise $$$$$ per day right away are scams.

You are right, you do not want to jump into AdWords with affiliate marketing. That is a one tough game.

That being said, you have a few choices.

One: You could go the "bum marketing" route of writing articles (LOTS of articles) and submitting them to the article directories in order to drive traffic (to your own landing page is best).

Two: You can create your own sites which rank well in the search engines. That is an art in itself, but if you learn to drive traffic, making money is the easy part then. This is the method many successful affiliate marketers use.
Creating a site around a small niche, using SEO to drive traffic from the search engines, and then offering related affiliate products on the site...that is a very effective method.

I suggest focusing on #2 but also working on #1 along the way.

thanks for the advice and can you recommend any affiliate program that I can use? I see alot of them on the net but I am not really sure which one to buy. I am looking for an affiliate program that will not require me to use adwords or PPC. again thank you very much for the advice.

No affiliate program should require you to use PPC marketing (Adwords campaigns are PPC, but not all PPC are Adwords).

You aren't normally going to buy an affiliate program. In your affiliate marketing you will promote someone else's product, and if sales are made from your efforts, you get a commission.

There are lots of subjects you'll want to study up on, and I highly recommend using the search function to find more information.

You'll want to have a website, if you can't afford anything up front, you can start with a free blogger or wordpress blog. This is where you'll want to get people to, so you can refer them to the product or products you are promoting.

A few topics to search are:
        Affiliate Marketing
        Traffic Generation
        List Building
        Article Marketing

        I hope this helps.

I am afraid when you say "affiliate program" you are talking about some type of data entry scam or something.

You can't "buy" any program to make this work for you.

Affiliate marketing is not a plug and play sort of thing. The only ways to make it work well for you are by working at it...as with some of the examples I gave.

Again, there are no systems you can simply buy which will result in success. Success with it does not require buying a system. Join ClickBank or PayDotCom for free, learn how to drive traffic to your site, and there you have it.

I made my first $1000 online (and much more) with article marketing, but it must be done right to be profitable. Another good reason to starting with article marketing is it allows you to learn and develop your core skills.

It's very important to learn and develop fundamental skills in writing, salesmanship and technical ability. These are skills you will use in any type of Internet business. I know it doesn't sound exciting like the "Get Rich Quick" stuff, but it is what will make you money. The "get rich quick" stuff will have you forever chasing a dream while remaining broke. (been there, done that)

WOW! that was fast. I did not know that people here are so helpful and very fast at that. Thanks for all the advice. I am already listing them and in the process of searching the net. I really need to do this to help me and my family. More blessings and success to all of you.

One more thing...Be very careful while searching. It's very easy to be seduced by all the sales letters out there. They are very tempting and can lead you off in all different directions. I've been sucked in more times than I care to remember. It's important to choose one business model and stick to it.

I came accross Ewen Chia's Autopilot profits. Did any of you ever tried his program? It cost $27 with an 8 weeks moneyback guarantee. Is it worth buying?

      STOP, please!

There is no help given by saying "buy this, or try that". No program that you buy or join will guarantee any income to you. Recommending products or programs you have not personally used and profited from is irresponsible.

It doesn't matter if the product/program is $9 or $1000 to join - if you don't know how to apply the basics, you will get nowhere.

There is no shortcut for the fact that you must LEARN how to start a business online. Many optimistic new marketers spend their time reading sales pages of "make money" products instead of building sites or blogs or creating products.

For reviews on products - go to the review section or use the search button.

      kay

I will post a reply with the phone # saturday
Not a good idea. If you have USED the product you might post in the review section.

Always do sufficient research first before buying something from the internet. Find out what kind of business you want to build and which industry or market you want to be in.

There are so many people telling you to buy their stuff. That's why it's called internet marketing.

Begin by find your niche, do research and find something you like and are passionate about.

put together a plan and system you will use to get things done. Otherwise I find I get lost in cyberspace.

you can buy program after program but without learning how to write, and promote you will struggle. you need to get your point across, line the customer with your product.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING YET! First, you need to educate yourself about how internet marketing works.

Instead, take some time and read read read through the posts on this forum. At first you will be overwhelmed with information. Be prepared for that and just roll with it.

Make sure you have google open in another browser window while you read. Each time you encounter an unfamiliar word or phrase, google it to find a definition.

After awhile, you'll amass enough basic knowledge to know how you wish to start your online business. I truly believe you will not be able to build a sustainable business if you do not first do some research and educate yourself.

Also, you will have a much better idea what (if anything) you need to purchase in order to get your business off the ground once you've established that core knowledge-base. 'Knowledge is power' has never been such an apt phrase as it is when beginning in online marketing.

    Good luck to you!

Also look at affiliatefuture, tradedoubler etc which offer commission on sales. Depends on the topic of your site/page whether they are of any help.

Since you're an architectural designer and you're only looking for some extra monthly income, why not consider starting up your own blog focused on your expertise or a nice little "twist" within your field or other areas of interests. If you read through the warrior forum including the archives you'll find all kinds of great blogging information to help get you started. Read a few threads on blogging and if you feel it's something of interest, keep reading and focusing on that one topic. Doing that prevents you from getting that information overload disease and helps keep you focused!
