Is your traffic down since Google interface update?

I'm surprised I haven't seen more posting about the new Google change that happened this week, it's definitely going to make things harder for everyone by diluting traffic and sending more serious buyers to the "walmarts' of the net.

Question:

Has anyone seen a decrease in traffic over the last 2 days? My sites seem to be down about 15% below normal, which could very well be just random, but I think it definitely has something to do with the new changes.

So, has anyone here noticed a decrease in their traffic?

My Two Cents:

1)
Forget about any ranking below#2 from now on, searchers have too many options to go below the fold
2) KW research is now more important than ever
3) Start writing better and more clickworthy descriptions for your pages, getting searchers to click on the first search is more important than ever, considering all they have to do is hit the Shopping option and they'll never find your site again as long as they have that on

Thoughts?

Nobody has any response to this? Wow, guess I need to start making threads titled "Help! Been in IM for 4 months and i'm not rich yet!" like all the other hot threads on here....

Well, I experienced just opposite. CTR on some of my websites have increased to around 10% of previous. These sites are at #3 to #5 position in SERP.

I've had mixed results - some sites went down while others went up. It almost balanced out.

It's still so new, and also the changes happened on Thurs/friday which always seems to have a traffic dip, but I just don't see how these new changes can't be effecting the distribution of traffic more, because as soon as you hit almost any of the 'option' buttons, most aff/adsense sites dissapear!

I have not read much positive response to the new layout for Google's search page. i don't like it very much either. They changed the Keyword Tool also, and that sucks as well. Fortunately they have a link to the previous version on that page. Wish they had a link to the previous search page as well.

Most of my organic traffic is up overall... Some sites down, some sites up, but in total.. traffic is up.

Paid traffic, on the other hand, is another story and one that I'm not putting down to the new interface(yet), or discussing here Sorry 'bout that, but more study needed yet.

    Peace
