INTERNET MARKETING

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to say hello. I'm wanting to get myself a 2nd income and IM seems like a good & interesting way to go, I have a 9-5 job so this will be an evenings & weekend thing.

I've spent some time looking through this forum and have been trying to decide where to start. There are so many options! Writing certainly isn't my thing, that I do know.

I have the ability to create a website, though I don't have any domains just yet, so perhaps this is my way in... Just pick a niche, create a site & drive traffic...

The best bit of advice I have for myself is...

Make a start, get going and start your business. Stop thinking about it and actually do it!

What advice do other have, is a website a good place to start?

. As for the advice, here's my #1 advice:

FOCUS and don't do more than one thing at a time

EDIT: Do that and you will save yourself months and maybe years of frustration. And trust me, I say this personal experience

Welcome ! You'll find a ton of information here on a daily basis with a lot of like minded individuals. Just to reiterate...do one thing at a time as it's easy to hop from one thing to the next. Stay focused,driven and don't quit if something doesn't work the first couple of times. The rewards will come in due time.

Welcome ... don't get overwhelmed with all the info. I'd read a bit and when something sparks your interest, try it out. Learn as much as possible about the methods you choose, but information overload can get people around here.

speaks that truth, when you find something you think you might like, try it out. Learn as much as you can about the thing that you're doing and put all other methods out of you head for the time being. When I first started playing this game it took me a good 5 months to ever get anything done, because everything sounded good and I couldn't just pick something and go with it.

My Golden Rules to Making Money Online.

1. Choose a method (including niche, how to market, how to monetize, etc.)
2. Use that method until you can do it in your sleep. Use it fully, no shortcuts here.
3. Analyze your results, did it work, did it not work. What did you learn, what could you do better, and so forth.
4. Tweak what you did or scale it up depending on your results.
5. Re-analyze the results. If the method still isn't working maybe it's time to try something new.
6. Rinse and repeat for everything that you do.

It might not happen overnight, but those really are the key steps to building a long-term successful business venture.

Welcome to the forum. So you have decided to give IM ago. It seems you are heading in the right direction. My advice to you is to take one step at a time become an expert at that one thing then move onto the next step. When picking a niche don't make the mistake of selling products and services that nobody wants. No matter how passionate you are about it, if there's no need in the market, you won't make money. A lot of newbie's will believe they can earn a lot of money fast from the internet. They we also believe that success will come easy, this will usually not happen and they will end up getting frustrated and quit. Making money online is achievable but it takes hard work
