Find Jeff Walker Product Launch Manager

I recall Jeff Walker launched his training program several months ago. I had talked to one of the graduates about doing a launch, but he had a really high retainer fee. I was hoping to negotiate a better deal. I thought there was gong to be a site where you could browse for these people. Does anyone know? Are there any who work mostly on percentage of sales?

I don't think it's a product on how to find a product, but rather on how to find a service that will save time and hopefully money in the long run.

I didn't opt-in so I can't tell you exactly what it is, but I'm assuming that you also find products on how to find other services such as backlinking services, article writing services, and other outsourcing services in general, funny as well.

Jeff is just trying to help out those people that he trained by telling you how great the services are that they will provide by helping you launch your product. I guess, in a way, it's providing leads and help with a product that you have bought aka customer service.

            Here's the live link: PLMDirectory.com

And you can only find the original group of PLMs on that directory. I don't think any of us new PLMs are listed there yet.

Now there' an idea!!! I didn't even know people like this existed!

I'm in the process of launching two new companies, plus a book. (They ARE integrated, so it's not as scattered as it might seem.) I could certainly use launch help like this. I actually have Jeff's PLF, but in between finishing my book and creating the company, the launch just seems overwhleming.

Do you know how much one of these managers might charge? I'm on a budget, but maybe we could do a customized promotional plan that fits my budget?

              I'd greatly appreciate some recommendations.

Thanks Merlyn! I always learn a lot from you when we speak!

I wanted to provide a bit more info on hiring a launch manager, costs and add a few other launch options that may be helpful to know about:

                @rashamba
it is true that many launch managers charge what is considered a significant fee – then again, they and their team put in a ton of work for their clients and its been said that “Your Product launch will quite likely be the single biggest leverage point that you experience in your business. Period." So not sure how you put a price on that.

The majority of PLM’s that I know will negotiate fees, however know that they may expect something of value in return. This could be a larger percentage of launch sales or something like a mailing to your list in lieu of part of their fee if you have a significant size warm list in a niche that they are interested in. This is an individual matter... you just have to ask.

If you can identify a launch manager who has less experience they may be more open to a smaller fee or negotiating more to your liking. You many also consider seeking out one of Jeff Walker’s Platinum group, who have been hand picked by Jeff and are in a mastermind with many of the more seasoned PLMs [and Jeff] – not all of them are listed on the PLM Directory listed in this thread.

There are many types of launches. Most people I speak to seem to think of the big kahuna product launch with JV’s that the big internet marketers do. Big launches, big results.

There are also seed launches, internal launches... Each launch is appropriate to the size and state of your business and marketplace. Sometimes, as attractive as the big kahuna is... its not the right launch for a business at a particular time........so its important to get a sense of where you are and what makes the most sense for your business and will bring the best results for the current state [size of list, number of jv partners, social proof] ......which leads me to another option:

A Product Launch Blueprint Consultation– this is an affordable consultation with a PLM that provides both an assessment of your strengths and weaknesses, a strategy for your launch, any recommended work you need to do to get ready for your launch, and a written step-by-step launch blueprint. It can also help reduce or eliminate the ‘overwhelm’ @Nightengale mentions... since it gives you a roadmap to follow. It can help you realize whether a launch [of any size or type] is something you want to take on yourself, or prefer to hire a manager to do.

What is great about this option is that you can use it on your own or as a way to test drive a launch manager and see if there is a good fit there – you work together very closely on a launch and want to feel like you are a good 'marriage' . Many PLM’s will roll the fee of the blueprint into a launch if you decide to go forward and hire them for a launch.

It also offers a fresh perspective and set of trained eyes. We often get too close to our own work to see it clearly or objectively ... so this is incredibly valuable feedback.

If you have any other questions, feel free to post or pm me.

I recommend my friend and colleague, Jane Tabachnick, who's also a fellow warrior. Her screen name is Launchgal.

She has many years experience in marketing, product creation, and completed Jeff's course.

I pick her brain a lot and she is razor sharp!

    All the best,
    Merlyn

Yes, plmdirectory is your best bet, those guys and gals are some of the best.... and you will often see fees in line with what the best can charge because they are based upon results. I recommend Ridgely from that list, he has a partner named Hubert and the two of them are proven.

There are numerous types of launch. Usually your first step is an Internal Launch which can be done less expensive than a full out JV Launch. A JV Launch requires a bit of a team. Someone to manage the entire JV program, basically an affiliate manager, is often a must. Especially since if you have proven metrics (that you pulled from your Internal Launch), you might see most of your business from your JV's. They need full time baby-sitting at times. Also, for the bigger launches, you will want to have an experienced Copy Writer on the team. Video Editor. Technology guru.

But for an internal launch, which can still do extremely well if you have a good list, you and a Product Launch Manager can do it no problem.

Happy to help you in anyway~!
