It's Mother's Day. It's a time to appreciate everything the women who bore you has done for your life. It's also a holiday. As an internet marketer, you should be ready and excited for every single holiday that is coming up. You should anticipate what you are going to do to take advantage financially of this 24 hour period.

Holidays, no matter what they are, give you an easy way to target a market. Each one clearly allows you to see what your audience is going to be. Today for example is a day when children will want to do something special for their mothers. Today is a day that you can provide that something special to these children. You know they are going to be looking for it anyways. Why not provide it to them?

Don't think you can only make a killing on the huge major spending holidays like Christmas. These days give you an easy to find market. Here's a little recipe to make some extra money the next time a holiday passes.

All stuff that you know is needed to make money.

Recipe:

1. Go to Google Hot Trends and see what the hot keywords for the day are. Usually on holidays like today, you will be able to find 5-10 hot keywords that people are searching.
2. Take those keywords and either post a blog post on a free blog platform like blogger, or you can post some form of content on a website you already have (make sure it's related to the subject already)
3. Set up your content to link to a promotion, CPA, or product that is going to pay you in return. In today's case, I would focus on Ecards, flower shops, or mom gifts.
4. Now bring in the traffic. Digg, stumbleupon, and reddit are three examples to get your content seen by the world quickly. Since it's a hot trend, you can get a good amount coming to your content.

That's really all it would take to make some money today. Now, if you are smart, you could start planning for the next holiday now. Have a minisite ready to go with content and small promotions already taken care of. Get all your affiliate programs sorted out and find the products or services you believe will do the best.

I say $10-500 today because $10 is the least amount I've pulled in on a holiday (one free blogger post with Adsense) and 500 was the most (St. Patrick's day this year promoting green light up hats). This is all from no more then an hour of work.

This is just a fun extra income practice that can be done many times throughout the year. There are lots of holidays.
