Best Way To Deliver Product - Collection Of Videos

I am in the process of creating set of Videos will be packaged with a Digital Report. I plan to sell this product. I am not sure if I will even think about using CB yet. That is yet to be determined. I had a few questions on what was the best way to actually deliver the videos to those who purchase.

1. Should the videos be downloadable to those who buy my product or should they be given access to a web page where they can watch the videos?

At first thought, allowing them to download the videos does not seem like a good idea because I plan to offer a Money Back Guarantee. So they could purchase, download all the videos and then just ask for a refund. Let's not even think about P2P sharing

2. My second concern is regarding how the sales flow would go. If a customer purchases my product, then how are they provided with a username and password or access to those videos on a protected page? I am just not sure how this work when using PayPal.

3. How should I host my videos? I know I could host on my own site, but is it better to use a video sharing site? Maybe one like MotionBox - Upload videos! Free home video sharing and editing. Secure Home Movie Archiving, Hosting and Storage..

I hope I was not too confusing, but any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thx.

You could use something like Joomla or Wordpress for this. I personally use joomla.
You could create a article text and then use switches to enforce people to log in to view the remainer.
Regarding point 2 There is plenty of plg in both in Joomla and wordpress that will do this or you could create a article insert a paypal button, while configuring the paypal button on sale completion have them redirected to the download area.
One thing though make sure you create a htaccess file in the download folder, you don't want other to downloadthe products without paying.
    Hope this gives some insight.

I'd go for the download option, if your product is good enough then you'll get practically no returns. As for peer to peer, if you build a good rapport with your customers then they won't share your stuff. . .

+1 for downloadable. The way I did it, I the customer had the option to download each individual video, or all of them in one zip file.

I like not having to download the videos. And DLGuard is great for protecting stuff.

I use a video delivery system in
Premium Web Cart that comes standard
    in their Members Pro application.

The videos all stream in through their protected
player and I can "drip feed" them out at any
rate I determine to keep the people in as customers
or extend their stay past the refund period.

The best method is to find a decent membership script that allows you to protect video links and has an option to drip feed the content. If you use this method then you have the benefit of only logged in members getting access to start with, plus the benefit of your video file locations never being shown to members so they can't hot link to your videos, as well as the ability to drip content on a timed basis so members don't get everything all at once.

I have a course out with Videos like you and I had the exact same questions when I was developing it. Heres what I went with (It is working out great)

    1) Definately make a page with the videos on. If it is downloadable then you will get everyone downloading them and just asking for the refund. Also it makes it too easy for them to upload them to the internet or share them without you having any control. I created a members area once they signed up. It had an area with the videos and it also gives you the chance to offer other information/ services to encourage people to join.

    2) This ties in with the last part. I created my whole site on Wordpress as they have so many plugins whoch will serve any need you will have. Membership control, auto- responders, opt in forms. ALl can be done for free too and it is easy to use and manage. For the Username and password part I used a plugin called Wishlist member. It is great as it blocks all your content (membership area) it can intergrate with Clickbank or Paypal and once they pay they are automatically directed to a thank you page you make and on there will be a form for them to choose a username and password. This then generates it for them and emails the info. I have an older copy if you need it just PM me. Or you can get the latest.

    3) For the Videos I wanted to keep them as private as possible. You could upload them to Daily Motion or somewhere like that and just embed them onto your site. If you go with Wordpress though I used a plugin which allows you to upload them straight to your site so they are completely private. This worked great for me.

I hope that helped. I was thinking about creating a course which teaches people how to make sites like this and it shows them exactly how to market there product, build a site to sell it. Everything really you need to create an online business. I want to make sure it is something which would be in high demand though before I started. What do you think?

Better have a VPS server and upload your videos. You can control all of them.

If you use WP Wishlist - can members download the videos?

The reason I ask is because there are so many browser plug ins that let peple download videos from the internet. I would like to prevent this somehow.
