How frequently does Clickbank glitch? I noticed I didn't make any money pulling from clickbank yesterday (which is rare), so I checked my affiliate links, and when testing they were saying affiliate = none, and some were even given credit to other affiliates from MY link.

Anyone else have this problem? How often does it typically occur? Should I reset all of my links? I don't want to as this would be a major undertaking, but making zero money from my hard work is not fun either.

This is typical of CB and happens more often that I care to recollect. I've been on that platform for more than 4 years and the constant glitches have left me with no option but to move shop elsewhere.

I do most of my payment processing through Paypal and 2Checkout. Both are a dozen times more professional (and reliable) than the dinosaur systems of CB.

I don't have any solid evidence of what you are alluding to...BUT, in my experiences with Clickbank since 2004, there have definitely been some very odd sales fluctuations that don't occur with other processors that I've used.

Wow I'm a total newbie and I'm just about to start promoting some clickbank stuff, mainly using squidoo pages and some other stuff. Do you think I should not even start on clickbank?

Another thing is I'm trying totally new products - ones with no gravity at all. I figure I'll either get in on ground floor of something good or it'll bomb. Any thoughts on that?

      thanks

One of the frequent problems with CB is credit cards being rejected at the payment page and people emailing you that their cards are perfectly fine.

In some cases, the order page itself does not load, or shows an error (unavailable), or the affiliate ID is not passed correctly. Add this to the legacy systems that CB operates, and you've got inexplicable "changes of fortune" on your hands.

I don't do loads with Clickbank but my sales have certainly dropped quite a bit in the last few weeks and hops are way down. I've just put a outbound tracking script on a few links, I'm going to leave it a week or so and see if there is much disparity between those and the hops.

A lot of the typical affiliate pre-sale pages that are commonly associated with promoting Clickbank products have been getting booted off Google. That may be a reason.

Most tracking systems which are solely cookie based are incredibly floored due to the fact that there a hundreds of ways for it to screw up and your cookie disappearing of the referred clients system.

Until such time as they employ IP based tracking, expect these problems to continue and get worse.

I've had a few problems like this aswell with clickbank, however, due to the vast array of products you can promote with them I am kind of stuck and have to make do for the time being. As annoying as the problems are, they will be probably be here to stay for some time yet!

There are alternative networks, RAP being one created by other warriors.

But if the products you are promoting are only thru ClickBank, whatta ya gonna do?

Good reason to use redirects and not affiliate links so you can quickly change to another product on another network if you find one...

Yeah that's a good point. Maybe those redirects are a good idea. I donno I guess the best thing to do is just try a bunch of things out.

CB links 100% have glitches and I'm experiencing it today and over the last 48 hours. I'm tracking my clicks but getting limited sales. I've received personal emails from my list stating that the purchased through my link and CB isn't showing them in my reports. I tested the system several times and got 2 different affiliate ID's from my link.

Sux ex specially when you're driving quality traffic to a Launch and not getting credit.

Just thought I share my story w/ WR!

I'm going to change my shorten links and hope for the best.
