My method to MMO and it always works

I know this isn't anything new but maybe it will give someone a push to take action and make a couple of bucks online. Here's my technique, and it always makes me money: I sell my old stuff on eBay!

Long story but I lost a bunch of weight so I'm selling a "lot" of shorts that are too big for me. As of this writing the auction has 41 minutes and is up to $26.30 USD. Most of the shorts are no-name except for 2 that are Dickies. All are used in good condition. So all I did was lay each one out on the floor and took front/back pics, uploaded pics to photobucket and launched auction with no reserve and buyer pays fixed (flat rate) shipping. That's it, that's all I did.

If I didn't take action, those shorts would still be on a shelf in my closet doing nothing but taking up space. Yes, I know I'm not getting what I originally paid for them BUT these shorts were already written off as useless since they didn't fit any more. I've met people before that wanted to sell their bowling ball, boots, etc and they told me they want to get at least $xx amount for them. That is mistake #1! If you have an item, whatever it is, doing nothing more than taking up space in your home, sell it on eBay!! Your choice is to let it keep sitting there for another year or turn it into $$ for dinner, gas, a movie, a new shirt, etc. Of course I don't condone selling your baby's 1st shoes or other important "life" items but you know what I'm saying!

How can you make this a viable source of income? Well, now I sort of know what shorts sell for so I can go to yard sales in my area and buy 'em up cheap and sell 'em high! I've been told (haven't done it yet) that clothes with tags on them sell easily. Maybe I'll hit a yard sale this summer and give it a shot.

I don't expect the auction to go much higher than it is now but I'll post the end price in about an hour. Now get out there and take action!!!!

    Final price: $26.30

That's like free money! My useless shorts that have been sitting there for the past 7 months are now income to buy groceries or put some gas in my car.

Looking in my storage closet I found a cell phone I don't use any more, a Motorola RAZR. Long story short, I just listed it for under $1 with a "Buy It Now" (amount to be disclosed at end). Pics uploaded to Photobucket and auction is off and running. Probably took me 15-20 mins from beginning to end and it'll take me about 10 mins to seal the box, print postage and hand it off to front office for pickup.

Again, this is a cell phone that has been sitting for over a year. Whatever it sells for, it's like finding an envelope with free $$$ in my closet!

You could expand this idea/method by finding stuff people no longer use
or need and that sell very cheap at garage sales which you could pickup/buy
and resell at a higher price on ebay hence making a profit.

Exactly! I'm just trying to show people here how easy it is to MMO. All it takes is a few hours at garage sales to bring in $20-$50/day. I'm just trying to "motivate" others.

Thank you Gary. Sadly, I lost a wife, house, 2 kids, in a divorce 10/2009. I hit rock bottom, lost a lot of weight but now it's 6 months later and I'm exercising, running, eating right.

I know there's a lot of people here looking to make some spare $$$ (look at WSO forum)! I want to encourage others.

      Again, thanks so much Gary.
