Hello well im kind of a newbie in IM but ive been doing alot of reading and would really like to get started asap.

I already have wordpress hosting and a domain.

I just don't know where to start.. Their are just so many options and im not sure which avenue to take to start getting some good revenue.

Do i make a E-commerce site, an information blog with affiliate links, a eBook, etc etc...

Im already signed up with adsense and im a amazon associate and have a wordpress site, im just not sure what to do next. The good thing is i have loads of spare time, at least 8 hours a day atm, and i want to put the time to good use and start earning instead of reading.

Another thing is i don't really like the idea of making article upon article just to get traffic to my site, i'd rather use advertising etc..

Any advise on what i should do next or what software i should get please give advice. Im also looking for a partner if anyone with some serious internet marketing knowledge is looking for a partner with loads of free time. Thanks!

My recommendation - buy a membership to the War Room and read as much as you can there. Then, choose one or two models (ie - affiliate marketing, Adsense marketing, article marketing) that interest you most and focus on them exclusively. Try not to be distracted by other things - pick something and then put in as many hours as you need to to be successful.

Thank you for your recommendation, i will probably buy membership some time in the near future, but i think at the moment the small funds i have would be better spent on software and other things for my site.

You don't NEED any software. Granted some of it makes things easier, but google is free, wordpress is free, kompozer html editor is free. What is it that you are wanting to purchase?

You first have to determine the approach you decide to adopt, with each approach having its cost and benefit. It is a trade off between either spending some money to get fast result or spending nothing or very little to get results at a slower pace, all other factors(variables) like time available to devote, held constant. "You cannot have your cake and want to eat it at the same time"

If for example you want relatively fast result, i advice a quick thorough study of adwords which if expertly deployed will produce fast results. However, note that you have to have a good understanding of this as you can easily burst $$$ otherwise.

Even with this, for sustainable success at cheap rate, you have to consistently apply article marketing, blogging, forum posting etc. You can then deploy funds towards article marketing software for example, if you want an even faster progress.

The alternative is to start with article marketing, blogging, forum posting etc and make relatively slower but eventually sustainable progress. The advantage of this is that you can get by with spending little or nothing.

Whichever option you decide to adopt, i see no way round article marketing, blogging, forum posting etc, if you are going to be in internet marketing for the long haul.

since you already have a wordpress / domain / amazon associate account - you could start promoting products from amazon as an affiliate using your wordpress blog. You can check out some pointers in this thread by another warrior

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ssociates.html

software can only do so much, the important thing is to have a strategy in place and focus on one thing at a time.

If your business is centered on attracting buyers by offering high-quality content, all you have to do is think about what you are passionate about and how you can use that passion to help others.

Think of your life experience and what tips or advice you would give regarding what I call the four pillars of life mastery.

When people want an information product or service, it is only because it will help them to master one of these categories:

    • Financial life – Success in your business, job, occupation or career

    • Social life – Success in your relationships, significant other, family members, co-workers, peers and the public.

    • Spiritual life – Success in all things related to understanding and governing the part of you that is not physical such as knowledge, wisdom and consciousness.

    • Physical life – Success in health, healing, and well being.

Pick a life mastery pillar and ask yourself what kind of advice you would give to someone having trouble within a particular subject.

Brainstorm some of the problems that people have that you might be an expert in or think you could become and expert in.

    For example:

What advice would you give to someone who just lost their job?

What advice would you give someone who is about to lose their marriage?

What advice would you give someone who is having trouble with sleep?

What advice would you give someone who wants to lose weight?

Once you’ve found a topic that you are or can be passionate about (usually something you already have experience in), draw from that experience and use it to relate to your target audience.

Check for these 3 things to make sure you have a winning topic for your authority site:

    1. Is the topic something you are or can be passionate about? – If you aren’t passionate about your topic of choice you won’t be motivated to write and create excitement about what you have to say and share and it will be much more difficult to relate to your target audience and prove your expertise.

    2. Can you position yourself as an expert in this topic? – Some people will tell you that it’s not necessary for you to establish yourself as an expert or an authority before you try to sell someone something. This may be true but I guarantee it is far more difficult to establish trust with your prospects if you don’t and trust is something you absolutely must have before your prospects will buy from you. You’ll never be highly-paid for your expertise unless you can establish yourself as an authority.

    3. Within your chosen topic, are there or could there be products that are in demand? – As long as you’ve chosen a topic that falls within one of the four pillars of life mastery, the answer to this is almost always yes, but be sure there is enough of an audience to justify the work you’ll be doing. Keep in mind that there will be much more demand for a weight-loss product than a how to do yoga product, for example.

Blog about your chosen topic and recommend products to your readers. Once you have enough content and experience you can then create your own products and generate even more income.

A Premium wordpress e-commerce theme to make my site look better.

        @Blitzian

I have a rough strategy for my niche and thats to build a e-commerce amazon affiliate store and focus on driving traffic to my site in hope they will buy something. Hopefully that will be successful so i can then branch off and make other e-commerce stores for other niches

        @Andrew

I take it i would be selling them eBook type products with that method? If so what type of software do i need to make eBooks and then sell them.

        @Dele

I will look into Adwords if it has a chance of bringing traffic to my site i do not mind spending a little money to get myself set up aslong as i know what i buy will bring me results.

        @avenuegirl

I did some small keyword research on market samurai before i brought the domain. I am finding it difficult to rank high on google though. My keyword has about 25k SEOC.

You will already be producing content. Turn your blog posts into articles and your articles into e-books. All you need is a PDF converter. There are lots of them for free.

Ok, then you have a selected niche. Forget about ranking at the moment. There are a million ways to make money without even ranking the site.

Im already signed up with adsense and im a amazon associate
Are you sure this is the best way to monetize on your niche? You can actually screw yourself if you pick the wrong way to monetize a site.

Here's an example - you put up an adsense site. But adsense will only pay you pennies per ad while there is a product out there that can pay you 20 dollars per sale and is converting really well. You can make pennies per day or make one or 2 20$ sales a day. Which do you want?

If you are headstrong on the niche you chose, you need to google the name of products + the words "affiliate program" and see what your options are and the best ways to monetize. Once you've figured that out the topics to discuss on the site will become evident.

Then it's a matter of getting your content going and driving some traffic to the site.

Depending on the niche, you may want to build a list as well.

Right now i have an online e-commerce type store selling amazon products. This won't be my main niche but just a site ill aim to make money from because of the keyword. I think the main way to make money from this site is to get it highly ranked on google because in order for people to buy stuff they will need to first find my site. Of course i can add other higher paying affiliates to the site if i get alot of traffic.

Right now i would really just like to see some revenue from the site, even if its small. I think the best way for this is to pay for like 5k backlinks. Site content is almost complete so i need to think how i can get traffic now.

Well, if it is too broad you may be waiting quite a while to get those rankings. But you can rank on other sites more easily that lead back to that site.

It's tough to give you a better idea without knowing the niche, the demand, and the competition.

One thing I wouldn't do is pay for 5k backlinks. I don't think this is necessary to make a sale. You can probably go much quicker with some ad campaigns that are bidding on your main keyword - but that may be costly depending on what your bidding on.

Look into MSN or Yahoo for ads - not just Google if you do decide to look into it.

Also, are you sure that Amazon is the only place to push the products you are pushing? There are tons of physical products with private affiliate programs out there.

So what market are you going to go into? Where is your niche? Who are you going to target as far as your product goes? Those are the questions to ask yourself first. You mention all of these things like Amazon products you want to sell etc. Are you just going to sell a conglomaration of everything? If so, that is not going to work.

You say you have a Wordpress site. What market does it target? You can't sell anything until you know who you are going to sell to. You need to find a market that is hungry for an answer to their problem and give them the answer.

My first site will target uk audience, and i plan on selling amazon products of a specific department.

I will do this buy setting up my wordpress site as an e-commerce store, i plan on getting traffic from advertising on other sites related to my product market.

The answer i plan to give people is giving them a nice looking site with cheap prices etc for them to buy stuff they need.

Don't need to invest in softwares now, there many free softwares you can use as a beginner that can do exactly what those paid ones can do, even some of the free ones are far better than the paid ones from experience.

Which softwares do you need exactly, so that I can give your some suggestions?

Use the money that you have budgeted for softwares to buy more domain names and build more sites because the more sites you have the better the chances to get better commisions as pay out.

Pick a topic and start developing quality content in the form of regular posts to your blog. In the meantime, keep after the learning everyone is talking about here and add things to that central, core practice of adding good content to your blog. Eventually it will payoff.

I want to reiterate Andrew E's comment. If you decide to include a blog (which I suggest) sit down and think about it for a while (I didn't do this)! Figure out what you know something about and write an outline. Then write a post for each point in your outline. Soon you will have an e-book, white paper or whatever you want to call it. You can give that away to build an email list and blog subscribers. Summary: be as organized as possible in your content generation so the content can be repurposed as easily and quickly as possible!

    Niche_Boy,

I think i understand you and your fears so I'm gonna beg you now: PLEASE JOIN THE WAR ROOM. That's where you'll get most of the info (or better still, Blueprints) you need free + some great tools to work with for FREE. If you don't, you'll eventually spend more when you begin to implement whatever you intend doing.

I've been into IM for over 4 years now and it wasn't until i became a warrior and joined the war room that i finally got hold of what i really needed to succeed online.

The world outside is filled with hype, hype and more hype, you can never be so sure you're doing the right thing; too many trial and error.

In the war room, you get what really works with proofs to back up their claims.
Only the ideas from Allen Says will get you going in full speed.

No matter what you are thinking now, joining the war room is the first step to take.

My name is Jude. I am a Nigerian. I'm not a moderator in this forum, I'm not related to the Admin, I was not paid to say this.
I give you this advice purely from my heart because i've been where you are now.

    I wish you success.
