hi,

i spin & submit my EZA articles to other article directories...

my question is...

...have you guys ever submitted content style articles (not press releases) to press release sites?

i have hundreds of articles...and thought it'd be good for SEO purposes just to get lots of content...im thinking of doing it...but what do you guys think?

thanks
BJ

News Release sites will probably not let a content article go through. At least, not the ones that would matter.

    Hey BJ,

To my understanding, Press Releases should be written in a different tone then a regular Ezine Article.

    Good luck!

      HI BJ,

One of my clients actually asked me to do this a couple of years ago and I was reluctant but I did it. 100% of the submissions were rejected by the sites. Then a client told me she had some success with tip press release so I tried that. My approval rate with the tips was about 70% so I have done this for a few other clients and it worked out well.

    hi marketingva,

what do you mean by tip press release...basically a press release that provides a tip...so similar to an article but press release with providing some content/tips?

just thought of other ways to monetize and make most of my current articles...

    thanks though...

If you have hundreds of articles how about selling them as PLRs or ebooks

Never tried it, but I seriously don't think that it'll get picked up by news sites.

Great point - even if they are accepted by one of the news release sites, chances are it is just going to sit there doing nothing for you.

      Syndication will be null.

I had this idea too.. but I also didn't because I doubted it would make much impact anyway.. it seems I'd be right. I have seen a few articles get through to Press release sites and I really don't understand how they could have. They're not NEWS!

Might be worth getting someone to rewrite them so they sound like a press release and then submit them.

A press release would always differ with how articles are written that's why it gets easily disapproved by these press release websites. You could therefore get the "idea" of your articles and then write them in a "news-like" tone. That way, you don't have to search through topics again to discuss but you could grab them in your own words in the articles you've written. Actually, I've had my staff to create PR profiles and entries for me and we started on 2 PRs. It went well and it has been accepted after we have gathered the ideas from similar articles we've written in the past.

I hope that makes it easier for you.
