Paypal has to make their payment page more user-friendly

Hi everyone,

I've been looking through the WSO forum threads for some time and I kept seeing a problem that comes up every few posts when people buy something.
They usually post something like "I wasn't redirected to a download link. Please PM me. My transaction ID is ..."

Of course sometimes it can be a genuine problem like a disrupted internet connection or a computer that froze up. However more often than not, I think that it's due to the small unobtrusive Paypal button down in the left corner that only says "Return to seller".

I bet that most buyers who are using Paypal for the first time won't know that they must click that little button to receive their product. They should just put a big glaring message that says "Click here to download your product" and make life easier for the buyers... and also sellers.

Is there something we can do about this? Can we set up a custom message for that button?

    Sellers/merchants need to understand how to use PayPal not the other way around.

    You can add your own custom header in PayPal order page. You can tell them there what to do. You can redirect them to your own thank you/download page after ordering. And you can use the variables option to change the "return to merchant" text.

    And it's easy to do. You don't have to be a developer. Paypal even has a link to a page showing how to do it all from section where you create your payment button.

    I agree. It is the seller's responsibility to make sure that the product is delivered to the customer after the latter has purchased it, through paypal or any other means.
