I am trying to create a pen name at ezine articles to write some articles on a different niche. Can I do that as a basic plus member or can only full members do it? If I can do it can someone pls show me how? Cheers |

Hi Yes you can do this with a basic account. Login to your account and click on Profile Manager --> Edit Author Names and you will see a link that says 'Add an alternate author name'. |

I'm sorry but I'm have been writing articles for over a year but have no idea what a pen name is? Are you talking about your profile? "There are no dumb questions, just dumb people" LOL Edson |

Ebuchanan, a pen name is merely a fake name that you use when you write. Many famous authors have used pen names instead of their real names. For article writing, it is sometimes good to use a different pen name for each of the different niches in which you are writing... With each pen name you can be an "expert" in that niche, rather than using one name trying to be an expert in a ton of different niches. Also, if you are male but writing in a niche with a target audience which is primarily female, some feel it is best to use a female pen name, and vice versa. Hope that helps.

You may have to submit 10 articles that are approved with enzine , whip off your first 10 and your articles are published faster and you can create pen names I would assume

You don't have to wait till you get 10 approved. Just go to Profile Manager then Edit Author Names then Add Alternate Authors. I think they have to approve your pen name which can take a day or two but I didn't notice it if they did. Although, I didn't write an article under that name until several hours later.
