We all know the twitter craze thats going around.
I used twitter and not the biggest fan of it.
I use it for personal reasons (connect w/ friends, family)
But i see people saying there making like 5 figures a month
and twitter is there main traffic source. Thats something
i find hard to believe.

Twitter is cool to keep in touch with friends and family.

But for getting traffic and growing your business is twitter
Worth It? or Is it really a waste of time?

Your Thoughts!!

For me its really worth it. Im making good money in twitter promoting CPA offers but Im no longer looking at it as a long term business asset because for sure it will die through time.

It is a HOT trend right know but surely it will fade out -

back in the days like craiglist was hot my space etc.

Purpose is to build a targeted list of followers and build relationship with them and etc...

  • As long as you continuously build followers that are laser targeted to your business or profession and tweet them content that's truly valuable to them, your efforts are sure to pay off - both in the short and long term. With the right number and quality of followers, Twitter can bring you a lot of traffic. Most of the people and businesses that are having great success with Twitter are ones that are leveraging it to drive laser targeted traffic back to their websites and blogs that's filled with rich content and offers.

Twitter like Facebook are great ways to get traffic to your sites. However, I know there are people selling services that will make you money off of these sites; but remember one thing, just as you said, that majority of the people using social networks do so to socialize and have fun. In order for you to successfully build traffic from them you should develop a strategy that will keep you from wasting too much time there. Only accept followers that are there to network or for business connections.

At least that is what I have done and it has worked at increasing traffic to my sites.

Unless you're extremely good at making money through twitter and dedicated to it, I don't think you should be spending much time with it, sure it can bring in a little traffic - but why not focus on getting more results for your efforts...

I'd rather build an email list than a twitter list, so I spend my time getting quality subscribers to my list instead of getting more twitter followers - just my opinion

jbode i have to agree with you.
Its better to spend your time building
    your subscriber/customer list
Then wasting tons of time building
    a twitter list

It's good for non-IM niches - niches where people aren't necessarily savvy to Internet Marketing tactics Provided of course, you don't spam with affiliate links every chance you get.

Sure it will die one day, like all trends die. But I say while it is hot, milk it for all you can. I know Twitter gets a website hits, but I have not seen any success for me in terms of those hits turning into people who actually sign up.

For me, yes, Twitter worth it because when we have many targeted followers who are interested in our website/blog, products/services, ect... it only need one tweets and hop many sales and readers for our blogs.
And you can also earn money with Sponsored tweets.

Hey Chris the I.M. dude, I think there is probably room for a few more affiliate links in your post. I see 2 out of 5 lines without a link.

Twitter should just be a part of your marketing strategy, if you use it at all. Don't like it - don't use it. Never put all of your marketing eggs in one basket, even if it's free.

Twitter was a great place at one time.

It has been saturated over time but i still use a method called the reply method and it works great for building a list.
