In today's digital world I had completely forgotten about the library and thought that I should bring it up in case anyone else has forgotten about it as well.

A great place to get all sorts of research material on every niche or subject imaginable and it all for free!

    Yes!!!

I "rediscovered" the library about a year ago and have been hooked ever since. Not only do I rent hardcopy books and DVDs, but I also utilize my library's online services. With the click of my mouse, I can rent audio and ebooks, as well as access an incredible collection of nationwide newspapers, magazines, journals and more. Having InfoTrac and so many other useful resources at my fingertips 24/7 is sooooooo cool!

    Hello,
I have also used the library as a meeting place for Internet marketing, I have even taught some seniors on how to use a computer and the Internet.

I rediscovered the library recently. I'm saving hundreds of dollars that I would have spent on Amazon.com. The best feature of my library system is you can place a hold on a book from another library and they send the book to your local library.

Yep, and you can find them doing so at the library!

My library has a very cool reading lounge, which is separate from where the books are. There are soft, cushy chairs a couple of luxurious sofas and a huge stone-covered fireplace for the cool kids to defrost in front of on chilly days. Of course, there's free wi-fi and plenty of outlets for everyone to plug in.

For teenagers, there's another brightly decorated room with lots of cushioned seating for them to relax on, as well as desks, tables and even a few free computers stationed around the room in case someone forgot to bring their own.

The little kids have their own space, too. And since they are the "coolest" of the lot, theirs even hosts puppet shows, movie nights and all sorts of other events.

Oh, and did I mention they offer classes and workshops in yet another classroom? Several times a week they endeavor to teach those who want to be cool how to use a computer, build websites, sell on eBay, use the net, etc. Of course, the classrooms are directly across from the Friends of the Library bookstore, which sells books, CDs, DVDs, etc. for loose change, which helps fund the whole operation.

      LOL

Off to listen to my audio book for a few. I checked it out from the library's website right from privacy of my living room a week ago, but haven't had time to finish. I think it expires tomorrow, so thanks for this thread and the reminder.

Yes, the library is a good place to be for help in internet marketing. I use the library's online services to do my business and for books to research. (I really don't have much of a choice, no computer)

Just be careful to get your work done as quick as possible because once it closes, you may find yourself kicking yourself until the next time it opens.
