John Reese Bribe? -is this unfair on the people who purchased before?

John R is promoting his outsource force kit, and has been for a few days, but is now offering a bribe version.

If people who purchase the bribe version, isnt this unfair on the people who purchased the 'normal price' version?

    Yeah this is standard for these Gurus to do this during a product launch. It is a great strategy for a launch, a few days into the sequence. They will throw it in for everyone that has purchased already. At least that is what they have done in the past. You can bet on it.

      Who else has done this? I honestly can't think of another 'guru' that offered a bonus after the initial offer?

      I think there is a big difference between purchasing a $1,995 course compared to purchasing some fruit and veg at the grocery store

      Not sure if you know this or not, but many grocery stores offer a price adjustment if you bring in your receipt within X days. :p

      Same with lots of retailers. In fact, I just bought a bunch of clothes at Old Navy and 2 days later they had a huge 50% off sale. I went back in and they gave me back the difference.... (which I just ended up spending on more clothes... haha).

      But the grocery store isn't selling me fruit I can't eat until May 17th

      Still, we all know his previous buyers will get it so no harm no foul imo.

      no its not unfair but then again my local grocery will give me credit if i present a receipt to them if i made a purchase for an item that has gone on sale with in the week! gotta love local business

        Well, I have a huge respect for John Reese, But the only image a bribe reflects to current buyers is: Less people have interest in the product they've paid 2 grands for than anticipated! And the seller is pushing even harder to sell more as usually those bribes should be considered "Backup strategies"
        I agree with you, but would add that they have obviously deciphered that any buyer's remorse caused in this manner is outweighed by the benefits of higher overall sales, and as mentioned the extra unexpected freebie placates their remorse as well.

    Of COURSE its a GREAT launch strategy...

    think about this -

    Those that already bought will be given it too 100%, they love it because they now get more than they paid for ( Over delivered )

    Those that did not yet commit to buy now have the 'bribe' to take action

    It's win - win - win

    The early buyers will obviously get the bonus too...it's common sense. John Reese is not an idiot.

    The method of offering a bonus (or even a new payment option) a little bit after the shopping cart opens is what's known as the "Walker W"...guess who it's named after.

    Initial sales are going great...but after the first barrage of emails, sales die down a bit. So, to jump start sales again, the product owner dangles a carrot in front of prospects which results in a spike.

    After sales die down again and the launch is nearing its close, John will announce one last cool shiny object and that will cause the final spike in the "W". Then he'll close the shopping cart...and possibly do a short re-opening of the shopping cart a few days later.

    As a tactic? In two years, nobody will care.

    He will sell more 'widgets' at the bribe price and make more money.

    The other people will get the other stuff.

    The additional sales will probably buy a lot of fruit at the grocery stores, even in Japan regardless of where our spouses shop.

    I don't know about you, but I am taking notes. I may not ever use it but it is an interesting tactic.
