Is the Internet Dead?

I have the same occasional fears as many internet marketers out there, that the Internet is starting to "max out" in some way or another... then I take a look behind the scenes.

Most of this comes in the form of friends or relatives who use the Internet on a daily basis but still do not understand the basics of how to use it effectively. Some of my close friends bookmark search engine results so they can find specific webpages and I can't convince them to do otherwise. When the serps change, they think that something has gone wrong with their computer because they can't find their bookmarked webpages any longer.

Here is another way eye opener... according to the google keyword tool, over 55 million people per month go to google and search for google

As long as people are doing that, there is hope

I hope you're post title was a joke, like saying, 'Don't Click Here' just to get more views, because if you think the Internet is dead or dying, that's the best joke I have heard this century.

We are in the mere beginnings of a technical revolution the world has never seen before. Never before has the power of the world been truly put in each individual's hands. The Internet and the Digital Revolution has just been born and we have only seen the tidbits of the things to come.

Hehehe... very profound observations. As far as maxing out the internet, some particular markets may be saturated, and buyers in other markets might have gotten smarter, but I suspect the internet marketplace in general is only in its infancy.

That's a hilarious stat Tim and a brilliant commentary.

Interestingly enough, Google, Inc. actually increased revenues during

the worst period for most of the stock market in years.

Reminds me, what's the phone number for 9-1-1 again? lol.

Oh no no no... I don't think that the internet is dying. I think that this moment in time is the beginning of something new and big

Because you're an internet marketer - you are aware of things that are happening on the internet, you look into it from a different point of view. Try to remember how you were using the internet when you had no internet marketing knowledge and you'll realize that the internet is far from dying

by the way. Little bit of offtopic: what do you guys think about that semantic web?

Not exactly- some people don't know the difference between the address bar and a search box, so when they want to go to a site (google in this case), they type it in the "wrong" place.

They're not actually going to google.com and typing "google" in the search box there.

Well, the # of people is increasing, so even if it's "maxed out", it'll still grow at the rate of population growth.
