Question for those Microsoft Word/Open Office gurus out there

Hi everyone! I was recently hired to ghostwrite a new book for someone. They want a particular number of WORDS on each page. He wants no more than 350 words per page. I would like to know if there is a way in Open Office or Word that I can set the page to automatically go to the next page once I hit that word count?

Trying to figure out the most hassle-free way to get around 350 words on each page without having to watch the stinkin' word counter the whole time. This will be about 180 pages total, so I want to make it as easy as I can!

Thanks!

I first thought of experimenting with the margins for the page - obviously depends on font size, line spacing, etc., but hopefully will get you started.

Here's a couple links I found on it:

      Hello SellersCompanion,

With the requirement of 'no more than 350 words on a page' it seems there is only 2 options available to you.

You can average the word count across multiple pages. You might go over the count on one page, might go under the count on another page.

If that isn't going to work for you, the only other way to figure this out is to highlight the page in question and you will see exactly how many words are on the page.

Write for a while, then check the count from the first page to the last page of the session. Save this session, or somehow protect the 'perfect count' pages.

With fonts, font sizes, bold, italics, underline-ing, Headers changing as needed... You can understand how it would be difficult to 'know' 350 words.

That's all I got off the top of my head...

That is the way I would go with this. 180 at 350 words per page is 63,000 words. So, I would write that number of words and then adjust the font, and or margins so the total pages is 180.

If he is too focused on this limit, then adjust the word count, and or the page count so that the number of words is under 350 by a good margin. That way, there is almost no chance that you will have gone over that limit.

        Good luck.
