Why do customers always have this problem?

When my customers purchase one of my products and are taken to the download page, I try to make things as simple for them as possible...and yet I STILL get at least two emails a day from people who don't know how to play the videos, download the mp3s, open a PDF, you name it...

So I want to embed a short audio file on the page that will allow me to explain the instructions out loud. Next to it, it will say "Click here for your download instructions."

Can anyone recommend a script that I can easily plug into the HTML, to create this type of player? I figure I'd need to record my audio instructions, then convert it into a .swf file?

        Winzip'll open rars as well.

I am not an affiliate, but...

Quentin is the handle of a warrior who sells a very affordable program to do exactly what you need. It converts your audio to an swf and gives you the code to put a player on your page.

Hit the search button here at the WF and look for him. The software you want is found in his sig.

The problem comes from customers not reading instructions, being too lazy to read your directions or to simply spend 1 minute trying to figure it out on their own.

I agree with this, their problem is now our problem.
I try to include tips on what to download if your video

My approach in life is to deal with as few clients/customers as logistically possible! That's not always possible, however... in any case, one should make strides to get into a position where income comes from a professional minority (in my opinion).

Or how about doing a utube video. They are easy to embed in an html page.

I do get the joke in case my complicated answers leave anyone wondering. It reminds me of someone here who mentioned that he still gets steady traffic to a video he made years ago titled "How to right click and save as."

I'd expect a detailed 'breadcrumb trail' type of printed directions would work as well as audio. Click here > select this > click on this > etc.

I don't buy very much on line and that's diminishing. I'm never going near the wso room again, but I still do have problems sometimes. There are just so many variables. Everybody thinks in a different way. What looks good or simple to one person doesn't make sense to another. The computers and browsers are different.

Just try to put in some instructions carefully and with attention to detail and it should be a help. Of course the people who most need it most need it might be the most likely to skip it. (sigh)
