Default Internet Marketing Plan for 2009.....

Hello Warriors,

With the New Year right around the corner, it’s a good time to a look at our online business and start evaluating our successes and resolving to improve our shortcomings. I have started to plan for 2009.

One of the biggest revelation for me was to realize that knowing the US holidays is quite important, as sales (or non-sales!) can often revolve around this dates. I am using a cool Internet Marketing calendar for this purpose. (Check out my signature below to if you want to use it too).

Basically, failing to plan is planning to fail. Successful business people do what unsuccessful people are unwilling to do. Even we internet marketers, are subjected to a lot of hard work (though we have the luxury of doing this work anywhere in the world).

One of the challenges of being in business is surviving the tough times…and really, in terms of global economy, we are seriously out of shape!! So how do we internet marketers manage and grow our business in an economic downturn like the one we are experiencing now?

Please feel free to add to this list of things to consider before conceiving an IM plan for the New Year 2009. I will start the list off and hopefully with full participation, these contributions will benefit all warriors

Cheers and Thank you.

IM Plan for 2009:

1. What are your business goals for the new year? (Include revenue goals, growth projections, personal goals, changes in direction, expansion of your market or of your offerings, etc.)
2. What is your target market…your niche? Are there any potential new markets for your products and services?
3. What is your strategy for finding customers who provide you with repeat business…think recurring income? Think about ways in which you can get them to keep coming back.
4. Are there ways in which you can enhance or expand your current products or services?
5. Do you know what your competitors are doing - especially the successful ones?
