question about keywords

Hi guys

What my problem is that i have gotten a page into the second place on google that gets 58 views according to wordtracker out of 390,000 im getting about 15 visits a day but i can not get it to convert.

The keyword is natural treatment for ******* (im not that much of a noob) carrying on what i did was put an article talking about the keyword i was getting good clickthrus about 5 -6 click trus a day but no sales so i put a review of a product in this niche still incorparating the keywords in but no clickthrus this time tho the review has only up for less than a day. Do you think i should

1.put that article back up and link out to a review then link out to the product or should i,

2 leave the review up and see how it rides out,

3 leave the review up and add in some bonuses some call to action a video of me talking about the product add a p.s talk about my bonuses will not be available for ever etc. the keyword is not the name of a product but i thought it was a buying keyword i could be wrong. thats all i can think of for now

thanks for for you guys advice

This might help you and it might not. Look up John Carlton's website. There must be a million dollars worth of free material there to help a guy like you. If for no other reason than to encourage you and inspire you and to motivate you. If you have a few dollars to spend--invest in some of his materials he is selling. Good stuff. He just might be the best copywriter living. If not the best--he is in the top five or six. And I don't know who would push him out of first. His old buddy, Gary Halbert died. Read or listen to anything you can find on those two. I believe John Carlton's blog is called,The Market Rebel Rant. When you get old and rich you can email me a word of thanks for pointing you toward this site.

Depending on the niche I would set up a squeeze page and collect e mails and once the reader opts in I would re direct him to your sales offer. This will create a higher conversion rate for two reasons.

    1. The user has taken an action that is one step closer to helping solve his problem.

    2. If the user was that interested to take an action he is in the "hot zone" to buy.

Nothing to sell, only value to give and new knowledge to learn.

I can think of a few hundred (maybe thousand) keywords that could rank really high on the first page of Google... but are they "buying" keywords? Think about your keywords objectively. If your keywords truly target the buying population then the lack of conversion is related to your sales copy. Most people cruising the web are looking for information only, not something to buy. If your keywords are not targeting the folks who are looking for something to buy, you are dead in the water.

You are making this work at home stuff way harder than it is. Ready for some sanity? Clear your head and start over.
