You can use your own domain for Blogger Hosted Blogs

I just finished setting up my new domain. It will show a blog hosted in Blogger.

Yups, I won't have to spend on hosting because Blogger will host it for me.

After some incidents in Blogger, I know that some of us are a bit hesitant on using it for business purposes and I understand it completely.

However, I still want to use it because I can create professional looking blogs in blogger in minutes. So I decided to use it but get my own domain name instead.

I'm thinking that whatever happens, I'll still have the domain name. So I'll still be able to recover if something comes up.

Setting up is easy. All I did was purchase a domain, edit the cname configuration (pointed www to ghs.google.com) and its done.

There's also some configuration needed on the publishing tab in blogger itself.

Now all I have to do is to make sure I have a backup of every post.

All the best,

Yup, I did the very same thing. If I ever need fancy configuration I'll transfer to WP, but for now, I get to save $10 a month on hosting

But why go through the "look behind your back" scenario
re "whatever happens" when hosting is far less than $10 a
month nowadays? Yes, there are lots of extremely cheap
hosts that you will be amazed, especially those that
give you the opportunity to host more than one site at
    a time.
