How To Make A Fortune Using Paypal...

Hello Everyone,

I have purchased many WSO's over the years and I have Never requested a Refund.

However I purchased one about one month ago that did not give the information it claimed to give on how to get Cheap Traffic from Facebook.
The guy offered a 100% guarantee. I never pay attention to guarantees because I never act on them.

However, This guy's WSO Cost a Whopping $53.00 and I had to request a Refund. If I paid $ 7.00 to $17.00 I would have just thought another Waste of My Money. We've all been there.

I contacted him and he said a Refund would not be a problem however, he was having Paypal Issues.

I never heard from him again. I filed a dispute with Paypal. He never responded to them. Weeks later Paypal sent me an email suggesting I should Upgrade My dispute to Filing a Claim.

I filed a Claim and here is the response I received...

You have chosen to escalate your dispute to a PayPal claim. By ending
communication with the seller, you are asking PayPal to investigate the
case and decide the outcome. As part of our investigation, PayPal reviewed
any communication you may have had in the Resolution Center.

Our investigation into your claim is complete. As stated in our User
Agreement, the claims process only applies to the shipment of goods. It
does not apply to complaints about the attributes or quality of goods
received. Therefore, we are unable to reverse this transaction or issue a
refund.

What this tells me is that we can sell downloadable products that are GARBAGE, Offer a 100% Money Back Guarantee, Use Paypal as our Merchant Account and Paypal will protect us from issuing Refunds. It's a Win Win for us and Paypal. I am 100% against Ripping People off. The Bottom Line is that I was Ripped Off by one of our fellow Warriors for $53.00. That Pisses Me Off.

Do you want to know who this Warrior is ? PM me and I will Glady tell you,

Mr Ex

Sorry you had a frustrating ordeal... that's paypal's policy I'm afraid.

That said, did you try again to contact the seller? If he didn't get the email about the dispute, he wouldn't know it was there and if he was having paypal problems, well...

I know, could all be just too convenient, but PM the warrior, email him at the paypal contact email on your receipt, etc. Perhaps, just perhaps it's an honest thing.

      Hey Gary,

I have contacted this seller 2 to 3 times prior to contacting Paypal as a last resort and have not gotten a response.

If you want to know who the Warrior is please PM me.

Figured you did, but thought I would ask.

Be careful if you pursue but I suppose you could post in the wso thread? You don't want to break the rule of slamming the thread or airing grievances, but perhaps you could post saying you've tried to contact him several times with no response? I'm not a mod, so I can't tell you where the black, white and grey meet, just a thought.

You don't think like a refunder. What it should tell you is that if you think your downloadable product was crap, tell PayPal you didn't get it. Then it's a delivery problem, not a quality problem, and since the seller can never prove you received it - you win the dispute and get your money back!

Or you can do what my one and only refunding customer did: you can say that it was an unauthorised use of your account AND you didn't get the product. Apparently, PayPal doesn't bat an eye at this.

Look, I'm no fan of refunding for products, but you have every right to a refund if you ask for one... and as far as I'm concerned, if the vendor refuses to honour his "satisfaction 100% guaranteed or your money back" promise, you get a licence to tell all the lies you want until you get your money back.

So hey, take the opportunity to tell people all about how the guy who sold you that product does unnatural things with sheep. Seems fair to me.

      Hi Michael,

Thanks for your response. I never realized Paypal did not give Refunds for digital products. They do not have a problem letting people use their service to sell Downloadable Products. Could it be because they do not give refunds for Digital products and make Money from them ? Not Paypal

Do you not read the terms of service before they make you check the box that says you've read them?

        Because that's just... why, I don't know what it's just. I'm shocked. :p

            Love this statement. Really.

I, too, wish at times I could have asked for a refund of some of the things I have purchased. I could never ask for any, somehow it is just not inside me if you know what I mean !!

              You aren't a man - you're a marketer - read the terms!

What I don't understand is why you would start a thread about this or even file a paypal complaint without first posting in the WSO thread about the problem.

Had you posted in the thread when the refund was not received, the seller might have refunded just to keep others from avoiding the WSO. That's the first step you should take if a refund guarantee was offered and your request ignored.

Absolutely. When you check that box on the form that says you read the TOS, you become legally signatory to a binding contract.

And when you've been in business as long as I have, you'll learn - quite painfully, in many cases - that you NEVER EVER EVER SIGN ANY CONTRACT YOU DIDN'T READ.

Well I would certainly post the experience in the wso thread.

It takes a bit of nerve if you are a nobody. (Like me and only likely to go downhill from there.) And the other person is at least a bit of a somebody.

But it is the honest thing to do, and it helps anyone thinking of buying the product. There is no rule that I know of about not posting a negative experience with a wso in the thread, and I have done it pretty emphatically. The whole thing took up way more time than I would like, and I just don't go there much any more.

More communication helps make things more clear. If intentions are bad, more communication usually helps make that clear too.

Question: Can't you prove a buyer received the product if you provide PayPal with a screenshot of your Ejunkie Transactions Log? It states the buyer's name, their IP, andwhen and how many times the product was downloaded. Is this not sufficient?

Actually, it's not. It demonstrates only that someone at that IP initiated a download of some data - not that the data was correctly or completely delivered, let alone that the data was in fact the product in question.

Furthermore, screenshots can be altered. You can chop out the "successful delivery" part of one screenshot and paste it over top of the "failed delivery" part of another. Not that anyone would do such a thing.

As paypal administers your account using your credit card, you inadvertedly paid with a credit card. To solve this issue just file a "charge back" complaint with your bank or whoever you've got your credit card with and within 10 minutes you will get your refund.

As much as I hate chargebacks (someone just charged back one of my products they bought FIVE MONTHS AGO), I think this may be your only course of action.
