Article Spinning And Sumbission Question...

Hey guys,

I'm no SEO "expert", however I understand it pretty well.

My plans right now involve focusing a lot more on promoting my blogs, so here's my question.

Article marketing has never been a major source of traffic for me, but that's about to change, I'm at least going to experiment with it.

1. I post article to blog than to Ezine. Is it worth it to post the same (identical) to multiple article directories? Haven't checked yet, but is this even okay with Ezine's TOS?

2. Google has stated that the duplicate content penalty doesn't exist...

Now on to spinning... I'm going for quality here, and I don't think I want to bother with spinning at all. I'm not wanting to flood directories with thousands of articles.

I just want to get my content syndicated.

So, you article marketing experts, any advice?

Thanks,

-Scott

    1. yes.
    2. true.

Syndication is more likely if you get published as a
guest blogger on high-traffic blogs, or at least high-traffic
ones for what you write about.

As I recall, Jonathon Fields makes some good points about
how he became a pseudo-celebrity blogger. It's in the
"Firefly Manifesto" I think. Free ebook.

    Thanks Loren,

    Couple of other questions...

    1. Any recommendations on software to automate this? The submission, I don't care about spinning.

    2. Should I focus on say, top 5 article directories? As many as possible?

    Thanks,

    1. For blasting articles to lots of directories:
ArticleBot V2.0 | Submit Your Articles to More Than 450 Article Directories Completely On Autopilot For Massive Backlinks (while it's available from other sellers as well, I include an unusual and specific bonus which dramatically reduces the time investment in getting the software running nicely and submitting consistently)

    2. That's hard to say. Most of the sites are marginal in terms
of traffic but you never know. Article submission is, mostly,
a backlinking thing because most article sites get feeble traffic
    from human readers.

That said, you never know, so submit your quality articles as
widely as possible and you never know when they'll get picked-up
    and re-published.

Often I'll backlink from lower-quality articles on 100s of sites to
a nicely-done article on a premiere site like EZA. It's all keywords
    and stuff like that.

The best directories tend to run on customized scripts and don't
accept mass submissions, so you have to hand-submit. I usually
don't bother. I focus on the ones that accept auto-submits. If
you wanted to hire an outsourcer to hand-submit to all the
custom-script directories that could be smart, but to do it
    yourself is mega-tedious.

    Hey,
    I personally like blogging.
However, if I were you, I would keep posting on ezinearticles.
Most my articles posted there are on Google 1st page for my chosen keywords.

I think that article spinning can help your ranking immensely. I suggest that you use Jetspinner to just spin your content. It's free and the synonym suggestion is brilliant.

Submitting to multiple blogs or article directories has given me good exposure altogether. How about testing both strategies? and seeing which one gives you better results?

Try submitting in just your blog and also submitting (different) spun articles to more than one directory...I personally do both.

    Good luck!

      ALEXA!

      Thanks for the insight.

      (v) in general, don't do backlinks to EZA articles: for the most part it's a big mistake
      Interesting...

I'd ask you to elaborate but I don't want start a forum discussion where people with little factual knowledge have very strongly-held opinions

You should definitely hit me up sometime soon, we haven't talked in awhile.

      The help is much appreciated.

      Thanks guys,

Allow me to throw in a few bits.

    (v) in general, don't do backlinks to EZA articles: for the most part it's a big mistake
She means that when you submit to 7 or 8 other directories after getting your article live at EZA, you should not link back to your EZA articles. It is indeed a mistake because you are helping the adsense cash hungry EZA, not your own site.

You should instead focus more on building backlinks with desired anchor text to your own site home page and other important sub pages. This is a better thing to do because you are building your own business, and not throwing free traffic to the EZA pages that often don't have a good CTR to your resource box links.

You can vary the anchor text a little bit. For example, vary them like online course review, online course reviews, review of online course, etc.

    Recommended stuff as you asked:
    Spinning software: The Best Spinner
Submitter: Article Post Robot, Magic Article Submitter, Article bot (In order of greatness)

Spinning your title, article body and resource box is important because links from unique pages are stronger than those from duplicate pages.

    Good luck!
