A Bit of advice for a newbie?

Ok. I am a newbie to internet/affiliate marketing. I am nowever NOT a newbie when it comes to computers in general. I have alot of experience with PC's, we design, so forth.

My question is, I have read a couple 'reports' that people post about how to make big money, & how to get started in this field. I am more confused AFTER reading the reports & looking into this than I was before.

Is there anyone that can simply recommend a product, company to affiliate with, or anything? everybody talks about how this is so easy for them & how to make money hand over fist. It just seems like everyone is talking in circles or they just love to hear themselves speak, or in this case type (lol)

Anyway, ANY help would be so much appreciated.

P.S. I am not expecting a get rich quick scheme. I have no problem with putting in plenty of work to see this through. i am not a quitter & I will be successful.

    And you'll make money no doubt. It will be slow and won't be big bucks at first but keep at it and you'll succeed.

        Honestly, no one can recommend a product to you with such limited information.

        Business on the web is very similar to offline business.

        You should have a niche or interest, make a plan, decide the best way to market what you are selling and go from there.

        Could be a blog, could be an html site, too many factors.

        Money online is easy when you believe in the product and focus on a way to market it.

        Ted trust me it works. Its not going to be easy or fast but it works.

        My suggestion to you is Ignore the rest of the ideas everyone suggest because although they have good intentions your just going to get more confused and never going to start. There is no best method.

        Ive been trying and failing for 5 years....but by following that website I showed you, I'm now making regular income. Not enough to quit my job yet but in time it will happen.

        However if you dont like that method than feel free to brainstorm and work out whats best for you, you dont HAVE to use that site, but It did help me.

            Doug the site is not mine, its a member who posts here called StevenR, not sure whats wrong with the site. I havent viewed the videos for some time.

            Definitely worth checking up with him if you're having troubles.

    First off, stick with the free methods until you can get a handle on how everything works and all of the different ways you can monetize things. If anyone is offering you a fool proof method to make moola DO NOT BELIEVE IT. This doesn't mean run away from it but if you fall for that you will be seriously disappointed. What you should do is say to yourself is 'hey maybe this will give me some good tips or hints with what I'm doing' then you'll gain a lot more from it.

      Here's some good advice for a first product.

      -Don't Choose an IM product.
      -Go to Clickbank, or another affiliate site, and look around for a product that you would be interested in, again not Internet Marketing related.
      -Now do a search on the affiliate network for similar products.
      -Choose one that you think will convert.
      -Place your affiliate link on your own page, promoting the product.
      -Drive traffic to that page.

      If you're good with making websites, graphics or other similar services, you can easily set up a site for that as well, and sell your services to Internet Marketers. There's a huge demand for quality outsourcers.

    There are many aspect of internet marketing to take up as newbie . Just focus on one especially the one you have passion for and do your home work well before launching out. Be dertemine to succeed and persist regardless of any challenge.

    The best way to get started online

    Plan what you want to achieve online
    what area you want to be the best in
    the world at, Affiliate marketing, Online
    Coach, Website Designer

    Use The Skills you already have!

    I would suggest get yourself a mentor and follow
    what he shows you.

    And only concentrate on one project at
    a time.

      But I have found what I was looking for - and a great mentor!
      That's really important, to have that someone who can guide you on your way.
      To me it also matters that I'm able to get a good education in my new line of work. And so far I enjoy learning
