How often do you send out a newsletter?

I have an affiliate page and I have an optional newsletter. I want to use the newsletter to provide readers information, let them know about website updates and also promote affiliate products. How often should I send out the newsletter? What is the best option to avoid unsubscribe and still provide conversion...? weekly, biweekly, monthly? I know there isn't a concrete do this or don't do that answer, but if you could tell me your experience I'd really appreciate it

Run some tests. Break up your list and send some weekly, some monthly, some bi-weekly, etc. See which one works best for your peeps.

    Hey Nickel,

In my experience I would send a newsletter monthly. However, I would also add weekly tips.

A niche I worked in years back was church marketing. I would send a monthly newsletter and do daily/weekly tips.

People didn't unsubscribe from the good content. They only unsubscribed when I would blast out offers. So you'll need to know your audience. If you give them a newsletter too often it just loses its flavor.

For example, I love Johnny Andrews and Frank Kern. However, I KNOW when I get an email from them they are trying to sell me something so I just breeze through the email quickly and then delete. The take away here. Build a good relationship with your subscribers otherwise they'll just delete your email without evening opening it up.

You'll get all kinds of posts about this. But if you are new, just stick with a monthly newsletter with a couple tips in between.

    Peace,

    Shane
