Aweber Can You Add Videos To Email Opt-In Sign Up Forms?

I know get response has an option to add videos to your Email opt-in forms which is a cool feature that I really think would improve sign up conversions.

Does anyone know if it is possible to add videos to your Aweber Opt- in sign up forms? And if so how would I go about doing so?

    From Aweber's site:
    "If you're interested in sending video email using a hosting service that has provided you with some HTML to embed, you can certainly include that in your HTML messages.

    However, please note that video technologies are generally blocked by ISPs and email clients and so your video may not be playable within an email message.

    As a result, it is not advisable to embed a video directly within an email message"

    It goes on to explain the best methods are a link to the video through text link, or to do a screenshot of the video that is hyperlinked.

    I dont believe aweber offer the ability to add video to your optin form but with a little tricky coding skills. It shouldn't be too hard.

      If you want to embed video, images and other stuff on your email a html editor will do.......:cool

        Sorry if I'm missing something here, but why not use a third party opt in page, which allows embedded video and then simply add your Aweber basic sign up form onto that page?

        I have had a long day, so if I have lost the plot, please ignore me.

    I don't think this is possible from within Aweber's service, but there's no reason you can't embed a video on your page above or to the side of your aweber created signup form.

    If you need something a little more fancy, like Gwen mentioned, create your page and form with an html editor and insert the aweber code you need to make things work. Google something like "create html form" and you'll find plenty of help online - or chances are you can find a Warrior to do this for you for a few bucks.

    Sorry for reviving such an old thread, but 3+ years on, Aweber still have no plans to include video in their form builder.

    Just spoke to their support and they confirmed there are no plans.

    Such a shame because I would love the ability to include video on their lightbox forms... quiet a few lightboxes throw up problems with phones and tablets.. but Aweber's one seems to run perfectly on all devices that I've tested.
