How Do I Get a Word Document File Up Online For People to Download?

Hello Warriors!

This sounds so simple but yet I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. I want to put a Word Document up Online for visitors to get access to it for download, however....

The question is, am I doing it all wrong??

Here's what I did

I uploaded the Document VIA FileZilla to my web host and I created a simple Bonus2.html webpage for visitors to have access to a Click Here link (Which will redirect them to the document I uploaded on FileZilla).

I would appreciate your helps guys,

Thanks!

you can basically add a download link on your thank you page.

    like this

    HTML Code:
<a href="http://www.xyz.com/some_doc.pdf">click here to open the pdf document</a>

make sure there are no spaces in your document name.

For example, if you name it "bonus.doc" and upload it directly to your public html folder, then you would need to link to yoursite.com/bonus.doc

when you do that, you should get a popup window asking if you want to save or open.

      hope this helps.

I would suggest turning the document into a pdf before making it downloadable. You can download free pdf makers from the web. Just Google "free pdf creator" and take your pick. I like to use my free Open Office and create it from there-that's one feature that I like on Open Office that Microsoft doesn't offer yet.

Microsoft offers a free add-in for Microsoft Office that lets you save directly to PDF. Just google 'microsoft office save to pdf' to find it and down load it.
