Need a name for a Wedding Planner business

A friend is setting up a stylish and chic Wedding Planning business and is looking for a name.

Interestingly they've already decided on the look, having chosen some graphics and illustrations etc, so they need a name that suits.

They've described it as having an Audrey Hepburn feel. (Think also of title sequence to Bewitched 60's TV series)

What's your ideas?

Peter

I like the french chic look of some of the Audrey inspired sites, so I'm going to suggest:

journée parfaite

It means 'perfect day' in french.

How about..."A Day To Remember" ? As we all know, not all weddings go off without a hitch (or two) but even a destroyed wedding is a day to remember. Most of the time when we look back at them, we really do laugh. Sometimes we don't. But forget them? No way

The suggestions so far have been fine, but if the business is going to be promoting itself online, it might be prudent to have a keyword or two in the name.

Something like "Wedding Wishes" or "Wonderful Weddings" ?

If the primary clientele will be female, I like Heather's suggestion.

Obviously would be great if the website domain name could be or incorporate the business name, but that adds a new level of complication in finding something good.

How about just "[Friend'sName] Wedding Planner"? It's not like cool or anything but anyone hearing it would know what she does.

Re: Need a name for a Wedding Planner business

What about a different approach to naming the business.

Allens Says, in his interview with Bryan Kumar - Money And Power (classic material), talks a great deal about using a technique whereby you force your subcontious mind (with "intense concentration") to give you an answer to a question. Very powerfull stuff in that interview and a rare insight into the mind of a true legend.

Mark Victor Hansen also used this technique to come up with the name for his book series Chicken Soup For The Soul. Worked out pretty well for him.

The technique is also used by major corporations. They employ guys who "sit for ideas". Job description (the guys doing it obviously has experience doing it) is to sit in room and think of ways to do certian things.

I am not sure if your target market here is people in your local area or the worldwide audience but I have seen people try and promote this and fail.

It is a unique market.

My advice is that you need to find yourself some great jv partners first and you need to look at the people who might have your customers - i.e. wedding dress shops, flower shops etc - think about who helps the bride and groom with planning a wedding (actually, just look at the bride - i think the groom often does as little as possible!!!)

I had a friend who tried to promote this with a physical product that was a cd/dvd training package and just tried to get it going in his local area - it tanked big time.

Other than that, think about how they can get a list of interested people first - maybe a free report on one of the main sections of the process - building your prospect list for this is possible but you need to look outside the box.

its more than just the domain name - its about the right process or system.

Hope that gives you some food for thoughts.

Cheers

Brad

I'm not sure if I'd be mad or laugh my a$$ off at that time, but I'd definitely be laughing later down the road. :)

How about "Weddings at Tiffanys" making a play on the words of the Hepburn movie?
