I would say once a week is more than enough. Think about it from the recipients' point of view.

why not mail them 4 or 5 days a week... as long as you deliver value you will make more money and provide more value to build trust faster

not everyone will like how often you mail them regardless

I mail every 3-4 days, but after 2-3 offers (or emails offering up another product with my aff link) I will deliver a ecourse of great value with no offers or aff links in them.

I have a few different lists and
I promised my subscribers once a week
and let them know what day it should arrive.
I would like to keep that promise.

So many people make up stories like
" the link was bad so here is the correct one"
or "my server was down so here is the link again in case you didn't get it".

This one is over the top:
"Having server problems, I don't know if you had previously
    opted out or not".
Obviously they were not using Aweber.

I used to do it every day. But as I see my response rate continue to drop, I now email them twice a week.

    Mainly Tuesday and Friday.

twice a week is more than enough, I leave lists regularly where I get sent emails daily - there really is no need.

    Hi,

I like to go for once a week, but I build up to that by beginning with every 2 days, then after a couple of those, make it 3 days, then 4 days etc. That seems to work quite well. Give them a big 'Value Bomb' early on as Michael Rasmussen puts it, and then start teasing in offers after that. I personally unsubscribe from lists that are just pitch after pitch with no let up. It's a bit disrespectful I think.

    Be lucky.

      Me personally.

I like to email my lists at least 3 times a week.

I find giving my subscribers value 2 of those days and use the 3rd day for my promotions. Usually that is done on Fridays.

I mainly use free software and training courses that i make or write myself.

This to me is better value.

I e-mail the list about 5 times a week, the people on the list enjoy the content and the free value and the friendship is good. I will say what ever works for you go with it. Always bring great content to them that way they will run to your email when you send it and do not click the delete button before they read it...

everytime I receive more than 3 emails per week from a "guru" I unsubscribe from him, because in my mind and in mind of most customers, it means he is really desperate for selling anything

    Well

I could say once a week... but really it depends on the kind of relationship you have with your list. I know of a guy that sends emails to his list once or twice a month, but every three month he makes a bunch of money, because his list is very responsive.

We all are in a lot of lists... see for your self, how many times you receive emails, from who, if they give you value or just promote affiliate links, what are your feelings about the people that emails you.

I'm in lists that every time I receive an email, I just say to myself "Again? I really must unsubscribe" and there are others that I really appreciate.

Test, judge from your own experiences, and maybe better... ask your subscribers!

    Six days is money, baby!

    Swing away...

Seriously, ask your list the same question via survey 'cause they are the real experts who should answer this question for you.

You could also offer them a choice by segmenting your list to receive less frequent mailings if they choose.

Dialogue from the movie - Swingers

Mike: So how long do I wait to call?

    Trent: A day.

    Mike: Tomorrow.

    Sue: Tomorrow, then a day.

    Trent: Yeah.

    Mike: So two days?

Trent: Yeah, I guess you could call it that, two days.

Sue: Definitely, two days is like industry standard.

Trent: You know I used to wait two days to call anybody, but now it's like everyone in town waits two days. So I think three days is kind of money. What do you think?

Sue: Yeah, but two's enough not to look anxious.

Trent: Yeah, two's enough not to look anxious. But I think three days is kind of money. You know because you...

Mike: Yeah, but you know what, maybe I'll wait 3 weeks. How's that? And tell her I was cleaning out my wallet and I just happened to run into her number.

Charles: Then ask her where you met her.

Mike: Yeah, I'll ask her where I met her. I don't remember. What does she look like? And then I'll asked if we f****d. Is that... would that be... T, would that be the money?

Trent: You know what. Ha ha ha Mike, laugh all you want but if you call too soon you might scare off a nice baby who's ready to party.

Mike: Well how long are you guys gonna wait to call your babies?

    Trent, Sue: Six days.

You are making this way too hard. The answer follows this question:

"How often should you kiss your wife?"

Answer: As often as she needs it.

Kiss her too much and she will question your motives. Not kissing her enough and she will lose interest.
