I got a problema! HELP!

So (this is Dana's fault) I went to website grader after getting sucked into Twitter grader...

The good news is my site ranked an 83/100....that's not awful, I was pretty proud considering I'm new to blogging.

I get a Top 2.21% Blog Ranking in Technorati...

109 inbound links...

Traffic Rank is in the top 4.5% through Alexa....

The bad news:

I have a Google PageRank of: 0 ?!?! Wth is that?! How do I get a ZERO?!?
I mean, c'mon, they have 241 pages indexed. /cry How do I fix that?!

And THEN!

No entry found for:

DMOZ, something called the Open Directory Project.

Yahoo! Directory: Nada.

ZoomInfo: Nuttin.

Will someone who is obviously more technically skilled than myself PLEASE tell me how to fix all this?

LOL.

It's not pretty if I start to cry! Mascara everywhere, empty wine bottles, broken stilettos....

You can raise your PR by getting high PR backlinks to your sight.

Post trackback links to high PR blogs, Squidoo lenses frequently gain PR quickly so you can create your own lenses, as well as comment on other appropriate lenses with a link.

Also check out the PR on your Twitter update page. You may find that posting an update or two with a link will help as well.

Mostly don't worry about it too much. The traffic you will get along the way doing these things if more important anyway!

    Just MHO...

    Danielle,

Allen wrote an article a long time ago that stated to do something everyday to promote your site.

Whether it's to write an article, trade links or whatever, over time it will add up. As far as Alexa is concerned, it really means nothing unless the people going to your site uses their toolbar. Personally, I could care less what my Alexa rank is.

    D,

PR is nothing to do with indexed pages - it's ALL about links.

However - don't give it any thought.

You should do regular link building but dont' put any weight on what is reported by systems like PR as they never properly represent your efforts.

If you want to have a quick look, just go to Google and type "link:yourdomain" and see how many it returns.

    Regards,

    Andy
