Reproduced my content...any advice?

I suppose it was only a matter of time, and I'm POSITIVE I'm not the first, but its the first time its happened to me so would like to know what you guys have done/would do.

Its not a biggie, but someone has thrown up a site and quite literally copy and pasted one of my reviews of a product in the alternative energy niche, but changed the affiliate links.

I probably wouldn't care so much except its a detailed review, one I did with my hands on the product and actually having a go with the content, and it frosts my apricots that some muppet has nicked it for their own site. Its a blatant reproduction, word for word.

I haven't published it anywhere else, and I haven't authorised anyone to use the content. I've asked them to pull it down but so far no dice. What's my move warriors, do I:

- Take it further, if so how?
- Meh...its just one review, mines already ranking, let it go.

I think you may just have to let it go. You are fighting a loosing battle

I kind of sucks. If you write crappy material nobody copies it.....it's only when you start writing really good stuff that people copy it and claim it as their own.

I would just focus on what you can control which is your business.

    Cheers!

Do a quick Google search for DMCA - then follow the procedure to notify the host that under the provisions of the DMCA, you ask that the site be taken down.

P.S. Oops... just noted your country. If the host is in the U.S, you're in luck... I don't know the provisions for other countries...

Unfortunately, there are some people that doesn't want to do an honest hours work and just get other's work and use them.

You mentioned yours is already ranking so maybe you could just let it go. You may follows the others advice but keep in mind that these things happen and can happen again. Would you have the time and energy going after these people everytime? You'll just set yourself up for un necessary stress and may take away your focus on what's important, setting up your sites and making money. :-)

    Just my two cents
